1. As a Marriott Titanium member, I chose a “family” hotel from the Marriott website. During my almost 20 years of loyalty with Marriott, I have always felt special in their hotels, because they let me know and I have benefits. This time it was not the case. 2. In the past, I have stayed at Marriott All Inclusive, both at Planet Hollywood and Royalton (Cancun), also at Westin All-inclusive and we have had category benefits, such as access to Diamon Club and access to restaurant reservations, etc. It was precisely for this reason that we chose this hotel, but clearly with the withdrawal of these benefits and for the cost paid, we will not return to a Marriott all inclusive. 3. Now, speaking of the quality of the property, it left a lot to be desired. It calls itself a luxury hotel, and it is far from this. a. The rooms are old and poorly maintained. b. There are cockroaches in the rooms. Something that had not happened to us in other properties in the Caribbean. They fumigated, but they appeared again. 4. I understand that Marriott does a lot to maintain the loyalty of their customers who spend significant resources on hotels, but properties like this cause that loyalty to be lost or at least rethink. 5. On the other hand, rest and good sleep is very difficult, since people who work in the hotel constantly and very early pass making a lot of noise and shouting, very uncomfortable. 6. In the building next door, 26 (we stayed at the end of 25) was under construction, which is very annoying, a lot of noise several times a day. 7. Smoking areas: This hotel needs to have specific smoking areas. It seems that the entire hotel is smoking, which is nasty for kids and people that dislike smoke. We had to move several times from where we were in the beach and pool. 8. Regarding service: a. Get a coffee at the restaurant. Breakfast (both buffet places) is almost impossible. I don't know if they have enough staff or what, but even with the restaurant at its average capacity, you can't get the much-desired coffee for breakfast. b. A similar situation is in specialty restaurants, sometimes you have to be in the middle of the meal for a glass of wine to arrive. c. There are serious problems with beach towels. At 10:30am the hotel no longer has towels. Not even in the Diamond sector. d. Not to mention getting a cocktail while on the beach. Being on the beach all day, hopefully 1 person passes by all day offering something even at the Dimond Area. This was a poor experience, not even close to our experience in Mexico with Royalton and Planet Hollywood. 9. In our last night, to coronate the 9 days, a chewing gum was stick on my knee from the table. Ve nasty and we had long hair on my meal as weel. Finaly went to the room and one of my kids bed was not made. we notice this at 11pm. Then i took a while (and had to go walking to front desk) to get someone to go and make it. 10.
