The Manor Basket Range

Amazing place to stay. An interesting drive to get there (I think Google maps stitched us up as it had us wiggling around all over the place!), but the drive was worth it - you literally feel like you're staying in a castle. We loved it. Check-in was contactless, and instructions were given over the phone, which added to the intrigue. Our room was 2 storey's with a kitchenette & sofa bed downstairs and a large bedroom & huge beautiful bathroom with spa bath upstairs - it had everything we could possibly need & I only wish we'd been staying for longer to be able to appreciate it more. The older child did complain a little about the sofa bed being uncomfortable, but he said it was OK. The upstairs bed was very comfortable, and the spa bath was amazing. We were also surprised with breakfast "rations," which was a hugely generous supply of breakfast foods that we were not expecting but gratefully accepted. A nespresso coffee machine with pods was available too, as was a supply of T2 teas. Would definitely recommend a stay here, but make the most of it and stay for more than 1 night.

Lovely place but not for a business trip. no WIFI or anything to eat around the place. Great there was breakfast supplied though

We were upgraded to a lovely suite, the rooms were spacious and very comfortable . The continental breakfast was ample and the grounds and gardens lovely!

Didn’t see any staff , only microwave so you can cook something , no tv in bedroom No parking near the room epically when room said single level when the room was up stairs and my wife had walking stick

I’m in love with this place the minute we drove up to the car park. I was captivated by the castle bathed in the golden glow of sunset. The garden is tastefully designed and well maintained, the lush green is decorated with autumn colour from deciduous trees, creepers and grape vines. Walking around the castle felt like wandering in a fairyland. We got room No 12 at the back of the main building without a view ( it seems at the eve of a wedding, most of the rooms were occupied by the wedding party), it’s OK for an overnight stay. The good thing is there’s no stairs 😊 It’ evident the refurbished room is to keep the old charm while providing modern comforts. There’s a separate bedroom, a lounge, a kitchenet, a bathroom and a standalone big spa bath. The bed is very comfortable, the breakfast provided is adequate for 2 of us: cereals, slices of bread, jams and a bottle of very nice orange juice, tea and coffee. In hospitality industry, it’s people who make or break a venue, at the Manor, the people we dealt with were super efficient in communications for check-in & check-out. They were particularly helpful when my husband left his gifted medallion in the room where we stayed. Big thanks go to Marcus and Karl and the cleaning people. The Manor left such a beautiful memory for us, we will certainly come back next time we visit Adelaide. We’ll be more than happy to recommend the place to people who visiting The Adelaid Hills.
