Basildon South

Booked 2 rooms to attend a family funeral. Was reassured when hotel staff called the day after booking to discuss the accessible room booked plus any further help they could give for those guests or me. A last minute change to a relative's plans meant we asked on the afternoon of our arrival, for another room. As none were available, another bed was made up in my room to accommodate the extra guest. Rooms were as expected, very clean and with all the usual provisions. Very well presented. Delicious breakfast in the next door restaurant the next morning. Helpful waitress Compliments to the chef, who cooked my bacon exactly as this fussy lady asked! Staffing both establishments were welcoming, patient and helpful Thank you all.

We are having renovation work done at home so again decided to stay at Premier Inn south basildon and we were not disappointed. The staff remembered us from our last stay and went out of their way to make our stay this time as stress free and enjoyable as last time. We had a slight issue with booking ( my mistake) but it was rectified with no issue. The room was clean and we'll presented and the bed gave a great 4 night sleep. Will definitely be returning and thanks once again to all of the staff for such a good service

The hotel looks tired from the outside however inside is as expected. Reception were really helpful and I have no complaints about the lady who checked us in at all, she gave us all the information needed for our stay. The room smelt slightly musty however was very clean and was up-to usual premier inn standard. The shower was excellent and the bathroom was very clean. Beds were clean and as always super comfortable. Would i stay again? Probably not as when we returned to the hotel from an evening out, we were refused a drink in the bar. Other than that a nice stay.

Consistently excellent breakfast. High quality cooking accompanied with friendly and attentive staff. There is always a wide range of choice ( really good poached eggs ) and the place is spotless. I always stay here when I am near Basildon and I have never been disappointed.

The hotel was very good value for money for what we needed for a one night family room stay! However I would not use the attached beefeater for breakfast! The staff were very stressed, unfriendly and rude and the food was very mediocre, so sadly this was not the best start to the day!
