The Fern Residency Sarnath

We stayed at The Fern, Sarnath - Varanasi for 3 nights during our visit to the Kashi Vishwanath temple — and from start to finish, the experience was smooth, peaceful, and deeply comforting. The property is clean, well-maintained, and offers a quiet charm that’s much appreciated when you’re travelling to spiritually rich, yet bustling cities like Varanasi. Our initial room had a minor technical glitch, but the front office team responded promptly and relocated us to another room in the same category — no fuss, no drama. The rooms were hygienic, the linen fresh, and the bathrooms spotless — which honestly makes all the difference on longer stays. What really stood out, though, was the staff — warm, courteous, and quietly efficient. A special shoutout to: • Shrikant Singh Kashyap and Ritesh Gupta at the front desk, who were incredibly helpful and welcoming through our stay • Vivek and Saurabh from Cilantro Restaurant, who ensured our meals were served with warmth and great service • Vishal and Brijlal from Flamingo Restaurant, for their attentive hospitality. Special shoutout to the Chinese / Continental chef who ensured our food came with great taste • And Sujit Patel from housekeeping, who took care of our room with consistent care and neatness Another plus? The hotel is just 20-25 minutes away from the Kashi Vishwanath temple, and rickshaws are easily available right outside the property — which made our local travel absolutely convenient. Good security, well-trained staff, a calm environment, and food that comforts — The Fern, Sarnath was a solid choice for our Varanasi stay. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful base while exploring the city’s sacred spots.

Rooms are very nice best part is the refreshment drink, food quality is awesome, special thanks to the Raju, Chef Jitender Pal , Santosh and Anand for their services.
