Hotels in , Barranquilla

If you are looking for luxury as befits this chain (and other similar chains) in the US, you will be hard pressed to find it here. While a very nice hotel, it rates about one star less by U.S. standards. That said, I do think it is one of the better hotels in the city, and though I was not initially too impressed, my favor has grown in comparison to other disappointing hotel stays I've experienced in Barranquilla. The value is good for the price. I would stay here again as it is easily 1/4 of the price of the few hotels offering a higher quality stay. The rooftop pool was one of the draws for this hotel. Unfortunately, it was closed the night we were there. I think maybe they had just super chlorinated it because the water was slightly murky. It is a nice pool, though shallow, like all BAQ hotel pools. However, unlike many hotels in this city, the size of the pool did match the online photos. The room was large and the bedding was crisp and clean. The beds were more comfortable than the usual hard beds in Colombia. The mini fridge and the A/C worked well, as did the Wi-Fi. The room / floor was quiet. The buffet breakfast was good - not fantastic - but good. Several hot dishes, breads, muffins, juices, coffee, etc. The hotel is in Riomar, a nice area, but a bit far from the center of town...a good 4 or 5km away, which is a 20-25 minute drive. Easy for drivers to get confused with the GHL Hotel Barranquilla across the street, or the GH Hotel Barranquilla near downtown, or even the Hotel NH Collection Barranquilla downtown. The Buenavista Mall is nearby with eateries and bars, but it is not really walkable. A 20 minute walk in the heat of the day is rather far, and it's not very recommendable to walk too far at night if you don't live there. 6min ride. **Side note: Uber is not available in Barranquilla. Here, they use the app, InDriver. Taxis are cheap, though.

Das Hotel liegt ein paar Blocks von einem sehr schönen Einkaufszentrum mit vielen Restaurants und Geschäften entfernt. Das Hotel ist sehr nett, wie Sie eine HGI erwarten würde. Ich würde sagen, es ist sogar schöner als die gleiche Hotelmarke in den USA. Der Preis war sehr vernünftig. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr professionell und freundlich. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Sie können Eier in jeder Stil bestellen, den Sie mögen. Es bietet einige Artikel aus dem typischen Nahrungsmittel aus der Region, obwohl das wäre der einzige Aspekt, den ich sagen würde, das Hotel könnte seinen Wow-Faktor erhöhen. Ich würde dieses Hotel definitiv empfehlen und würde zurückkehren, wenn ich nach Barranquilla reise.

Ich kann nichts Gutes oder schlechtes über diesen Ort insgesamt sagen. Die Klimaanlage fühlt sich nicht gut funktioniert. Das Büropersonal scheint nicht zu hilfreich, aber nicht unbedingt brutal. Nur uns gleichgültig. Das „revolving“ Restaurant ist nur vier Stunden am Tag geöffnet und Sie müssen eine Buchung machen, das Büro kann es nicht. Ich habe fast überall in diesem Bereich geblieben, als wir meine Gesetze sehen. Ich war überrascht, wie mittelmäßig es ist. Das Hausbetreuungspersonal ist freundlich, wir verlassen immer ein Propeno. Es gab hier eine Universität, die eine Rekrutierungsveranstaltung hatte. Ich habe besser geblieben, aber es wurde immer gesagt, dass dieses Hotel der Premierminister war. Die Lage wäre der größte Verkaufspunkt für mich, wir haben Familie zwei Blöcke über. Wenn der Service besser war und das Restaurant später offen war, würde ich es 4 Sterne nennen, es ist nicht fünf Sterne.

After staying more than a week in mediocre hotels as a tourist this Ibis is a whole relief. Back to European standards with a modern designed hotel and modern rooms, buffet breakfast, so all you can eat, instead of the tiny breakfast at most B&B's. Location close to a modern big mall. Standard room is ok with a good bathroom, bed a bit too hard and the biggest downside you can't open a window, which is noticeable in the hallways as well, a particular smell as there is never fresh air coming in. Free indoor parking available, good wifi.

Die Lage ist richtig, das Gegenteil ist Ihr eigenes Restaurant, und der Raum muss sonnig sein, die Lage ist gut! Es muss Licht sein, das Wetter ist feucht und heiß, und das Bett kann je nach Größe des Raumes hinzugefügt werden. Es gibt einen Parkplatz, der 8-10 Autos aufnehmen kann.

Saturday September 16 - Receptionist was extremely rude questioning why I was in the country and my documentation. I asked about my reservation, my family member needed a place to stay for two nights. Since one of my initial reservations was two queen beds I asked if that was easier or just adding the room. My reservation was for 1 person, with a king sized bed. The receptionist said I had to pay in full at once for my 1 person, with a king sized bed room. Come to find she charged me an additional $500 from the original reservation. I was stuck paying for a double room for 8 nights at $500 more than any reservation I already had. When I questioned the cost, that they had already charged to my accounts, I was told I needed to contact the third party company I had booked through or could leave but there are no refunds. Last year when I visited this hotel we were treated with kindness and respect, which is why I chose to return. This time I was treated like a criminal. Once to our room, there was a lizard in the room!!! Running around!!! Extremely frustrated and scared, I returned to the reception to share my findings for them to roll their eyes and change my room. They said lizards are native to the land and very common. At dinner - The waiter dropped waters on my aunt, then forgot my other aunts meal, then the manager came to argue about tips because my mom wanted to confirm the tip went to our waiter after over hearing the manager shout at the employee. The manager said he gets his cuts and the tips are distributed through the entire staff whether she likes it or not. Friday September 22 - During my breakfast I was not acknowledged by any employees. As I almost finished my meal..There were cockroaches crawling around the tables .. At the end of the night, as I arrived to the hotel room, I asked for toiletries as the given quantities are minimal and so with this heat I find myself showering at least twice/day - Then the attendant asked why I was using so many toiletries. September 22 - I sent 3 clothing items to the laundry - My bodysuit (blouse) was ruined. It was returned with yellow bleach stains all over the straps. This is absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever experienced at any hotel in my entire life.

This was a large group that was planned for more than a year. We had over 45 people planning to stay in the hotel along with a planned party that was up on the 13th floor for 45 people and was an absolute nightmare! Management was quick to take my $$ for the food and set up of of the party. They were SO understaffed and ill prepared it very soon turned into a complete nightmare and disappointment. With more than 45 people at the party music was great and one bartender the staff had no idea, nor did they have the ability to correct it. I had more than three of my friends trying to at least pay their tab, but their equipment was not sufficient to take payment. It also took hours for that to be corrected, but I also went down to talk to Management and i found two 20 year-old girls were explaining to me that they were running the hotel yet they were on the phone trying to find somebody to help them and no ability to correct the situation. was extremely disappointed to find a hotel that was Supposedly of great caliber destroyed and ruined my wife’s 60th birthday along with her family that were born and raised here in Barranquilla. I later found many of the people at the party had the informed me that the bar tender upstairs ran out of alcohol, and was not only shorting drinks, but not putting any alcohol in a lot of them. we later confirm that as we found 1/3 of the party was downstairs in the front bar drinking as nobody had any alcohol and their drinks upstairs. needless to say, I’m extremely disappointed as we own property here in this city, and to bring 45 friends from the states to enjoy the culture atmosphere and ambience. It’s just disgusting to have such an incredible night ruined my managements, inability to prepare and service the party that we paid. I would strongly recommend not to ever come here with a party of any caliber or service that is needed as they were not capable to even correct the problem that’s what really ******. please note this is not what I do. I am just so disappointed as we love this city and it’s a shame to bring so many friends to a place where we were spending good money for them to enjoy just to be kicked in the face by two young girls that had no ability to cure or solve the problem. there are many other fine hotels in this city. If you’re gonna spend any fair amount of money, I would please shop around as I would not come to the Crowne Plaza ever.

I stayed here March 21-25 was an amazing hotel super friendly staff and amazing bar and restaurant service there free breakfast in the morning is also very good Colombian breakfast one of my new fav places and they have an amazing sky loft area with jacuzzi Can even bring your food up there magical
