I used to stay here regularly before the pandemic and got a chance to stay here again for 11 nights after so many years. Initially, it was named DoubleTree by Hilton and now it has become Hilton. Even with the name/status change, the service has remained top-notch, and the facilities in the hotel are still extraordinary. The interior and exterior of the hotel largely remain unchanged. The rooms are also the same. The check-in on 19th Aug was very smooth. I got the room and the view I had asked for. Being a Hilton Honors Silver member, I got an upgrade as I had expected. Although I was hoping for a room status upgrade as the stay was long, only the room view was upgraded from pool view to golf view. It was also comfortable and the same as it was many years back. I have to give it to the management that they have maintained the hotel nicely for so many years! They had kept some chocolates and fruits in the room for us. Even though the room was comfortable, there were a few missing points that I had highlighted to the management during my stay. - Closing the bathroom door was very tight. They did repair it once, but it was of no use. - Being a 5-star hotel, the TV reception and picture quality of the channels were standard. I was hoping to catch on some OTT shows but the TV doesn't support it. Which was a let down in my opinion. - The plug sockets in almost all the rooms do not have a strong grip. I particularly faced this with every plug point in my room to charge my phone or laptop. They should update their plug points sooner or later. The complete breakfast staff team was very helpful and greeted nicely in the morning. I'd especially like to thank Ayesha from the F&B team who looked after us every morning with breakfast and made sure we got what we needed in time. The breakfast options, I have to admit were repeated almost daily with minor changes but that's what you get when you stay in the same hotel for 11 nights I guess. The food that we ordered in the room was also very tasty. One of my favorites, their Caesar's salad was still the best option for me to have after a hectic day at work. The housekeeping staff was very efficient and cleaned the room daily without any issues. I used their gym almost every day. It is a well-equipped gym with all the latest machines and weights one could ask for. The pool area is well-lit at night and is a peaceful place to sit and relax for some time. All in all, since it is the only decent hotel in EGL which is within walking distance from the offices, I would definitely prefer it again over any other hotel in the vicinity.

Ajay, from housekeeping, did a fabulous job making sure all my needs were met. Each night as I arrived from work to my room it was clean, restocked, and was in mint condition. See the photo attached for the extra care Ajay used to make sure I felt at home. Thank you, peace!

Daily home cleaning, nice big rooms with every possible facility available inside. They have room service available at all time for any kind of need, just at the press of a button. Swimming pool is clean and the view around it is also very aesthetic.

The hotel is in a convenient location for me. The room was very good. Looked after by Tsagar The gym is good if you pick a time that is not so busy. There were decent options at breakfast. The conference rooms were good too. The staff were all friendly.

After booking for close to 2 weeks I found out that I would have to return home early for a medical appointment - Informed the hotel on day 1 that I would have to return early and could only spend 7 nights. However they still charged me for the full stay, quoting the T & Cs of the rate that I had been given. They showed little appreciation of my situation and added stress to an already stressful situation. For clarity the T&Cs were that you could only make a change to your reservation up to 24 hours prior to your booking. I was arguing that they had a weeks notice with regard to the days that I was cancelling. Other than that the hotel is perfectly adequate, the location is good. The food in the bar and buffet was not great but the pool side restaurant was good. The gym though small had good equipment. Cleanliness of the hotel was very good.
