Great homestay if you want to experience the life of local Khmer people. Located near the bat cave and surrounded with rice fields, perfect way to disconnect from busy city life and indulge in local culture. The dinner and breakfast are delicious. Saro speaks English very well, he can introduce you to local culture and touristic spots. Don’t expect a five star hotel but rather an assembly of humble huts. Saro and his family provide everything needed to make sure we spend a comfortable stay. Beautiful sunset and sunrise over the rice fields.

The Ramchang Guest House... is a bit of a way outside the ”city.” Battambang feels like a large, overgrown village. The hotel itself reminded me of country guest houses in Mexico. The hotel is in the midst of rice-paddies. Easy to get to the town by TukTuk. The room was not large, but was comfortable. AC worked well. Comfortable beds, with good linens. The dining room serves delicious and affordable meals. They have a good laundry service. The sweet lady even ironed my clothes. (I haven't had an ironed shirt in over 20 years!) There is a swimming pool in the lush, tropical garden. Frangipani flowers under foot scented our meanders through the garden. Over-all a great place. Note: Very little English spoken.

Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits, dafür bietet es aber alles, was man braucht. Saubere, gut ausgestattete Zimmer, eine gemütliche, einladende Atmosphäre rund um den Pool und ein gutes Restaurant für Frühstück und Abendessen. Wir können das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Das Hotel sieht von außen so schön aus. Ihre Lobby sieht luxuriös, viel besser, in der Tat, als die Zimmer. Das Zimmer ist geräumig, aber völlig unbehaglich: harte Matratzen und Kissen, die Armstühle Kuchen sind harter als die Matratzen, was bedeutet, dass ich sie nicht nutzen konnte. Es gibt keine Möbel wie ein Kleidung, es ist aus diesem schrecklichen dunklen, farbigen Beton in schlechter Notwendigkeit eines Mangels an Malerei, genau wie die Wände. Das Zimmer war relativ sauber und wir wurden gefragt, ob wir jeden Tag gereinigt haben wollen. Am Tag, an dem wir nur einen Umzug von Handtüchern gefragt haben, störte niemand, den Müll zu leeren. Das Zimmer verfügte über einen schönen kleinen Balkon, aber keine Möbel, um draußen zu sitzen, nicht einmal eine Racke, um unsere Kleider zu hängen oder unsere Handtücher zu trocknen. Das Bad war gepflegt, aber der Duschegarten war eine Schande, nicht zu berühren. Wir hatten für ein Queen Bett gebucht (und bezahlt), aber wir hatten Zwillinge, stattdessen, ohne vorherige Ankündigung oder Entschuldigung für die Änderung. Die Lage des Hotels ist bequem, entlang einer Hauptstraße, in der Nähe von der Stadtzentrum und dem schönen Fluss. Ich würde es niemandem empfehlen: es ist zu primitiv für den Preis.

Well I will start by saying we will be back! We are CNDs semi/retired in Phnom Penh. We needed a break feom the hustle and bustle of the big city and tried this resort. We were greeted with the sweetest most helpful young lady, missed her name, that took great care of us. As we walked passed the pool area and restaurant to our lakeside cabin I knew this was what we needed. It's gorgeous, clean, friendly and gardeners are so busy keeping it all clean but ever so discreetly. It was perfect! We're so happy we've found our escape place! Room 4 lakeside is so private and a deck right at the edge of the pond that has blooming lilies on it. Like a scene from a romantic movie. Thank you reception staff and restaurant staff for a beautiful get-away. We couldn't have asked for more. Oh and the food!! Top notch.

Kaufen Sie lokale Spezialitäten auf Battambangs Gemüsemarkt, die meisten können den Preis der Einheimischen bekommen, aber das billigste in der Schule, das extra große Glas frisch gepresster Zuckerrohrsaft kostet nur 1.500 Riel für etwa 2,7 Yuan, die Rezeption Service ist gut, hier gibt es einen kostenlosen Abholwagen (Station 3,5 km vom Hotel entfernt), einige Fernbusse halten am Bahnhof in der Nähe des Hotels und laufen über 200 Meter. Wenn Sie also ein Ticket kaufen, müssen Sie wissen, wo der Busbahnhof nach Battambang hält.

The location is 5-8 minute walk from the center and French quarter, although not bad located it’s a bit dark at night. As a solo traveler it was bit uncomfortable returning alone by foot. The receptionists are very nice and sweet. My room was clean and comfortable although a bit old not bad at all. I did have a few ants here and there. Overall for just 1 or 2 nights it is not a bad option given the price!
