Ice House Hotel

I had a fantastic birthday stay and was wonderfully taken care of by Rachel and Rowen in the restaurant—they were both so lovely! The service at the spa was excellent, thanks to Katrina, and Ashling made sure we were well looked after. Matthew at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. Will be back!

We stayed here for our honeymoon. We had a resort in Thailand planned but our friends were getting married the week after our wedding in Clare. We stayed here instead...oh my God it's amazing! They gave us a complimentary romantic turndown with rose petals and during our evening meal surprised us with congratulations written on the dessert plate. The food is impeccable in both the restaurant and the bar! Food: Restaurant: We had goats cheese roulade and brie starter. We had steak and duck main. Pecan pie and berry crumble for dessert. 10/10 Bar: We had chilli prawn tacos (oh my this is amazing and must try) and the wild mushroom linguine (again an absolute must try! In fact, just copy our order and trust you'll be delighted. Atmosphere: Everything about this place is super romantic. The vibe is chill, the staff let you relax but are attentive to anything you need. Again it's 5 star from a guest perspective, currently they're on 4 stars and they really deserve that 5 star title. Spa: Unfortunately the spa treatments weren't available during our stay, so we booked the mud baths, this was very relaxing, baths overlook the river and it's picturesque. It rained a little but nothing could put a dampen on our spa day. The hot tubs overlooking the river are also incredible. Access to hot tub and thermal suites are complimentary with the stay. The mud baths are €80-100 each, but for an occasion worth a try! Thank you so much to everyone here for making us feel special and topping our honeymoon expectations! We decided you'll be out anniversary dinner location from now on, seeing as Darver castle where we married was only a wedding venue and doesn't offer hotel or restaurant experiences. 10/10 recommend. Lovely boutique hotel views from bedroom beautiful all very different depending on the time of day or night. Staff helpful polite & friendly. Restaurant food top class for breakfast lunch & dinner.Would defiantly recommend & we will be back.

Boutique Hotel definitely lived up to our expectations. The beds were super comfy & the river Moy views were to die for, it was so peaceful and quiet. The SPA area was very extensive and the relaxation rooms were just that very relaxing. The food was superb & reasonably priced. It would be nothing without the very friendly staff nothing was a bother to them. We will definitely be back.

Really enjoyable experience. Fabulous room. Great food. Lovely staff. The only thing they was a bit disappointing was that the spa closes at 7pm We arrived at 6.30 and only got 10 minutes to use the spa. It was a beautiful sunny evening and we drove from Dublin to spend the night there. Would have loved an hour at least.

Stayed in the ice house last week and I can honestly say that I had such a great experience. The whole team was very welcoming, views amazing, food exquisite. A special shout out to Rowan (waiter) who went out of his way to ensure that we were looked after. The whole three days he served with a smile. I will most definitely go back with ye hubby.
