Villa Madu Ubud

My families stay at the Villa was magical. From the time I walked through the wooden Bali style entrance doors I felt transported in time to what I would imagine Shangri-La to be like. The cottage that we stayed in on the first night overlooked a beautiful tranquil pool surrounded by the prolific Bali greenery. Waking up in the comfy bed the next day to the sounds of bird song in the trees and sky was sublime. The next few days we all moved into the larger Villa. It was magnificent. On each side of the bridge to the Villa was a large pond filled with colourful Koi. We all enjoyed relaxing in the comfy sitting areas and enjoyed our comfy beds. The scenic garden was spectacular with the flowering plumeria trees, beautiful flowers and tropical plants. Lots of places to stroll to and spend time together or alone. Floating in the beautiful pool surrounded by tropical plants was so relaxing. The staff were so friendly, kind and caring and made us feel so welcome. Across the street from the Villa was an artisan shop with amazing metal sculptures some of which were purchased by my family to take home. Also a few steps from the entrance way to Villa Madu was a restaurant with delicious food and ambiance. Some of my family enjoyed walking to purchase coffee and baked goods from a shop close by. Memories to last a lifetime were made in this tropical paradise. Thank you for making this experience of Bali so wonderful!

Villa Madu made our trip to Bali so authentic, enjoyable and comfortable. It was a beautiful place to start the day with fresh fruit delivered by joyful staff and end the day by cooling in the pool enveloped by nature. Some days we would touch down there mid day to restore, other days spending much of the day there, enjoying our private little oasis. Our extended family stayed together comfortably in the larger villa. We enjoyed music and dancing one night in the gardens of Villa Madu, then walked to a nearby restaurant to eat a fresh, healthy dinner. We could easily walk to temples, coffee shops and markets from the villa. Our family, ages 13 to 67, all fell in love with Villa Madu and can’t wait to return. It was heart warming and will never be forgotten.

Had an excellent time at Villa Madu with my wife and friends. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious, and our villa was comfortable. 5 minute walk from the main drag and the temple nearby had interesting ceremonies about once a week. Do note that there's a few dogs at the property, but they're easily bribed with snacks.

What a beautiful place. We felt so fortunate to wake each morning in paradise with a delicious breakfast prepared by the wonderful staff. While the property itself is heavenly, it’s the staff who made this such a fantastic stay for our group of friends. They are just so kind and helpful. Thank you, we will be back!

I didn‘t feel like a guest. More like part of the Villa Madu family. This place is home apart from home. A remote and peaceful hotspot to get the real Bali-Ubud feeling. The architecture of the Madu-villas is amazing, the garden high end. No open wishes to make your stay unique with the Support of Adrienne and her stuff.
