Kein Hotel auf unserer Rundreise durch Sri Lanka hat uns so enttäuscht, wie das 98 Acres. Die Bilder im Internet sind nicht vergleichbar mit der Anlage dort. Die Zimmer sind schön aber haben KEINE Klimaanlage, was einen Aufenthalt bei den Temperaturen herausfordernd macht. Sehr viele Mosquitos, daher ist Lüften auch keine Option und die Zimmer mit der Zeit sehr stickig. Es ist alles sehr abgelegen und weit auseinander, sie bieten dafür Tuk Tuk Fahrten an, allerdings sind die bei strömendem Regen auch nicht aufgetaucht. Außerhalb der Zimmer liegt sehr viel Müll herum und bei unserem Zimmer war die Straße nicht fertig, also stieg man aus dem Zimmer in den ”Sand/Dreck”. Das alles wäre kein Problem, wenn es nicht das mit Abstand teuerste Hotel auf unserer Reise gewesen wäre. Daher auch unsere Enttäuschung. Wir waren in 3 Sterne Hotels, die bei weitem mehr zu bieten hatten und auch eine Klimaanlage hatten. Der Pool ist schön, es gibt eine zweite Pool Anlage (Ravana Beach Club), mit der sie beim Einchecken werden. Daher dachten wir, dass sie im Preis inkludiert ist. Dort angekommen hätten sie 30000 Rupien pro Kopf für drei Stunden Pool Benutzung von uns verlangt (nur weil dort ein Jacuzzi ist). Das übertrifft sogar europäische Preise.
