The Trailsman Lodge was way better than I expected based on some of the recent negative reviews. I spent 3 wonderful nights here exploring Baddeck, the Cabot Trail and Cape Breton island; the reviewer who claimed they couldn't see the lake from a lake view room must've arrived and left in the dark : you couldn't be any closer to the lake, and even if you can't see it from your room, it's right outside at breakfast. At this time of year, the many geese had numerous cute little babies to look at on the lawn that gently slopes down from the deck to the lake, which is beautiful. The room itself was quiet and comfortable, with two queen beds, a couple of lovely armchairs and some outside red chairs on the deck overlooking the views. It has all the normal facilities you'd expect, such as large fridge, coffee machine, lots of wardrobe hanging space, ironing board, large flatscreen TV etc. The bathroom was beautifully tiled, with fabulous shower pressure, a hair dryer and plenty of room around the washbasin for your toiletries. Maybe this is a seasonal thing: breakfast was table service, so you could order what you wanted and it was brought to you : delicious banana cake and fruits, as well as bacon, sausage, toasts, hashbrowns and the best scrambled eggs I had during a 12 day trip around NS,NB & PEI. There was also cereals and choices of coffee and juice. So, absolutely no complaints or issues at all : I would happily stay here again!

Schönes Innenhaus mit erstaunlicher Aussicht! Wir konnten die Sonnenaufgang im Balkonboden sehen. Obwohl wir für unser Frühstück (all-you-can-eat-style) zusätzlich bezahlen mussten, waren die Kinder kostenlos. Wenn Sie glücklich genug sind, kann es während Ihrer Aufenthalte in dem Restaurant Live-Musik-Aufführungen geben! Insgesamt hatten wir einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Iona Heights Inn!

Ein 14-Zimmer-Motel mit einem Haus an ihm gebunden. Das Motel wird nach dem Berg direkt über dem Motel auf der anderen Seite benannt. Die Tür zu unserem Zimmer ist ein wenig schwer zu öffnen, braucht einen starken Druck, um es zu öffnen. Wir haben Zimmer #5. Das Zimmer ist geräumig und riecht etwas seltsam. Das Badezimmer ist eine ganze Größe. Die Fenster sind volllänglich. Hier ist WiFi, obwohl die Stärke des WiFi schwächt, je weiter Sie vom Hauptrezeption entfernt sind. Es gibt nur 3 Lichtquellen im Zimmer, außer 1 Licht im Badezimmer. Es ist ziemlich dunkel. Es gibt keine AC, es gibt einen Fan im Zimmer. Der Bildschirm für das Fenster ist kaputt, so ein großer Fehler kam in. Die Wände sind dünn. Sie können den Fluss des Toilettes und wahrscheinlich auch den Sound der Dusche hören. Während der Dusche, das Wasser blieb auf dem Kältedrehen, obwohl ich es auf der warmen Seite drehte. Das Toilette ist gebrochen. Es wird nicht fluss. Das Bett ist wirklich hart. Groß für Leute, die harte Betten mögen. Nicht groß für Leute, die nicht auf harten Betten schlafen können. Jeder andere schlief gut. Mein Rücken weh. Es ist gut, dass wir nur für eine Nacht hier geblieben haben. Eine Nacht hier bleiben reicht. Ich würde nicht empfehlen, hier länger zu bleiben.
