Got kicked out of motel six . We checked in on 1/15 using the Fema program. The idividual at the window asked how long we were going stay and I told him at least two nights but more than likely a week or more. So after he fumbled around with the paperwork for 20+ minutes and not even sure about the Fema program and that the property was actually on the Fema list, his light went on and we were assigned a room after we gave him the 9 digit Fema registration number which he was not sure what it was for, I had to explain... This morning we left for breakfast around noon (after official check out time) and went on to get some essential items. We returned after dinner and found our access cards would not work. Went down to the lobby to get the cards reset and was told we no longer had a room as we were considered to have checked out! I said well then let's get another room "sorry all booked" he said. At that point I restated I had said at least two nights likely several more. The ***** at the front desk NEVER mentioned that I would have to go down to the lobby in person this morning to confirm additional nights, which we were going to stay. He/they never bothered to contacts us and confirm and ask if we were departing. At this time the so called manager apparently heard the commotion and came out of nowhere to claim it was OUR fault for not letting them know. During this time and during the day our belongings that we had left in the room were sitting inside a garbage bag piled up in a corner of a room by the lobby. Welcome to the MOTEL 6 in AZUSA, CA ! I could go on about other details such as language proficiency and lack of business acumen, but I will leave it to what I stated. I did report the incidence to FEMA but doubtful anything will be done...A simple phone call from hotel staff would have eliminated this additional hardship. These people do not deserve to be in business period.
