The Good - Property is brand new and everything is in pristine condition. - Everything was incredibly clean. - Service and attention from the front desk folks was great! They've worked out a lot of the growing pains they had around their launch. The Eh - This isn't a ding on this specific property, but something about the design of modern Springhill properties has limited noise from other floors, but the sound isnt particularly isolated from the hallways. - Location(*): Relatively speaking, this hotel is currently in the middle of nowhere. There's a gas station that's walkable, but everything else is a drive or a local bus that runs during the day on a 30 minute interval. This may one day change as there's land that will eventually be developed to the east. (*)Super convenient for overnighters, not so great for someone staying around in the area. The Bad - Parking Fee: This junk fee for parking is awful, especially for its location. All of the Marriott branded properties in Colorado 70 mountain corridor charge a variation of this fee now and it's the single biggest hit on their reviews for years now. Fun fact - it's actually cheaper to self-park at the Westin in the center of Avon at $15/night than this SpringHill Suites $20/night. Put it in the base rate already and stop springing it on new guests at the front desk and wrecking your review scores.
