Nestled in a tranquil environment, Carina's friendly assistance was appreciated, although communication waned post-checkout, despite lingering queries. Lester's guided tours, while pricey, offered valuable insights. He’s a knowledgable and very capable driver. However, laundry service fell short, leaving clothes damp on an outdoor rack, contrary to expectations. The room was clean and tidy and looked nicer than a two star, but the hotel's location posed challenges, meaning you had to rely heavily on Lester for transport ( at an additional cost) and Carina for meals, (at an additional cost) limiting independence. Insects necessitated closed windows, impacting room comfort. Shower pressure varied from sometimes hot but weak downstairs to strong and cold upstairs and bedding quality differed between floors, with the need for replacement sheets due to a stains and bobbles. Despite proximity to the airport and amazing views, the restrictive nature of the location and dependence on provided services deterred future stays.

It's a place in a nice location, albeit situated on a steep hill (a bit of a challenge to get there). You can sense and see care from the owner, however I have to point some things out: The dinner at the property was very tasty, but the portions were very small especially considering the price. The shower is an 'electric head', which means it can never get comfortably warm or have a good pressure. But the worst thing is that it gave my husband a very bad electric shock when he tried to adjust the shower head. He told the owner, but she didn't react much to the information. So all in all it's still a good place not far from the airport. Just remember not to touch the shower head when showering and maybe it's not a place for someone with a weak heart.

Serenity lodges deserves the highest credit. From the moment I arrived to the lodge , I fell in love with this place immediately. The pictures cannot describe the beauty of this place. The lodge is situated in the middle of the rain forest, the trees, the flowers, the birds, the sounds of nature - you can all experience this at Serenity Lodges. The room is very cosy, well equipped with coffee facilities - you feel like at home. Wifi is super fast. The host - Lester picked me up from the airport, very friendly and helpful. You need to try the cuisine at the guesthouse - fish with rice and mango was awesome. Dinner was superb and very delicious. I truly enjoyed my time at Serenity Lodges. Dominica is a beautiful country with friendly people and it deserves more attention from tourism. If you love nature and you wanna have a real experience in the rain forest - this is the best place to stay. The hosts can support you with airport transfers, tours, food so do not hesitate to contact them.

Very quiet and comfortable. Reasonably priced. Very good food. Most importantly, we're the friendly, authentic hosts. Lester and Carina felt like friends. They were relatable and genuine. We took day trips to visit red rocks, the kalinago village, and waterfalls, but part of me wanted to stay all day in the hammock at our room, listen to the breeze through the tropical plants, and look at the mountains.
