What a wonderful place to stay as a family with older kids! The location for our 4 night stay was absolutely perfect. A short walk to archaeological sites, including the Acropolis, and to both Monastiraki and Thissio metro stations. But that's just the beginning....the Psyrri district's cafes and bars (10 metres round the corner) were friendly, buzzy, pleasant, cool, edgy and welcoming all in one. Wherever we started our evening, we always ended up back there for a beer, wine, cocktail, ice cream or waffle. Just a great place to hang out. Finally, the hosts at Gaia couldn't have been more helpful, giving us advice each morning on the best ways to see their incredible city, especially the sunset on Filipappou Hill and a few pointers on where the best street art was (pics shown all within 2 mins walk!). Thank you everyone at Gaia! We'll be back. PS. So helpful when we discovered (while sitting on a ferry at Piraeus) that a pair of iPods had been left behind. They posted them within to our next destination within an hour without question. Sums the experience up really, they couldn't do enough for their guests. Superb friendly helpful service.
