Plaka Hotel

Es ist strategisch günstig gelegen, nur wenige Gehminuten von/zur U-Bahn-Station Monastiraki, dem Monastiraki-Platz, Syntagma, der Menandrou-Straße (um Halal-Restaurants zu finden) und vielem mehr. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie ließen uns unsere Rucksäcke in der Gepäckaufbewahrung aufbewahren, da wir früher ankamen (gegen 12 Uhr, während der Check-in angeblich um 15 Uhr stattfand) und baten uns, um 13 Uhr zum Check-in zurückzukommen. Das Zimmer ist klein, aber komfortabel und mit unbezahlbarer Aussicht; die Akropolis! Das Frühstück ist gut mit einer anständigen Auswahl.

Alles an unserem Aufenthalt im Plaka Hotel war großartig. Sie ließen uns unsere Taschen bis zum Einchecken aufbewahren. Sie gaben uns großartige Informationen darüber, wohin wir gehen und wie wir dorthin gelangen. Das Frühstück war großartig - viel Auswahl. Die Lage war fabelhaft, um zu Fuß zu den beliebtesten Touristenattraktionen, vielen Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten zu gelangen. Die Aussicht auf die Akropolis vom Dach war unglaublich. Kann dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Die Zimmer sind etwas veraltet. Kann den Lärm von der Straße hören, obwohl die Musik nach Mitternacht aufhört. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut.

The rooms at this hotel are nice for the price and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel is near tourist hotspots like the Acropolis, Plaka and Monastiraki areas and despite this our room was quite quiet. The room had a large TV, a small closet, a work station, mini fridge, tea/coffee station and had good WiFi. The lighting was good and not too bright and the window let in a lot of natural daylight during the day. We wish the balcony had a couple of chairs on it because it is a nice area but the rooftop bar makes up for what the room balcony lacks. The bathroom had great water pressure and I felt this was one of the best showers I had during my time in Greece. The shampoo, shower gel and handsoap all smelled nice and had a touch of sea salt during our stay. The towels were clean and soft. We felt the shower could use improvement as it is a little small and it leaked water through the doors so we had to put a towel down to help with the water. The rooftop bar is fantastic and they had a good variety of well made cocktails and some non-alcoholic options. It is absolutely worth checking out and is open 24/7 but the bar is open from 6 pm to midnight. They had some good options too for food but we felt you would pay a premium here for the drinks and food compared to other restaurants in the area. We thought the view justified it as it gives one of the best views of the Acropolis and we enjoyed a very nice sunset here as well. The breakfast was decent and had enough variety. There were breakfast staples like bread, cereals, sausages, scrambled eggs and hard-boiled eggs. They also had a couple of salads, vegetables, fruit slices and some preserved fruits. They had a good selection of Greek breakfast items like yoghurt, honey, cheese and spinach pies and some desserts. The beverage station included a coffee making machine, juice and water. The staff we interacted with were welcoming and efficient. We paid the city tax on arrival and were quickly handed out room keys. At breakfast a lady came to check in on us and other guests to ask us about our stay and spoke to other guests in other languages. The hotel has a laundry service and baggage storage and had we stayed longer here we would consider trying these out. This was a good stay in Athens and we were happy with the price in March. We enjoyed being surrounded but cafes, restaurants and shops and being very close to the major sights of Athens. There are also quite a few convenience and grocerg stores nearby but many closed around 9 pm during our stay. The Monastiraki metro station is very close too and it takes about an hour to get here from the airport. You can keep using metro to get around the area too but we found it quite walkable for the activities we wanted to do.

12/10⭐️ one of the best hotels that checked all the right boxes. Perfectly located in beautiful neighborhood of Plaka, 10 min walk from Syntagma X95 airport bus stop and Metro station. Very safe (sensibly) to walk at night because the road is flanked by restaurants and hotels. Corner is a mini market/ convenient store. The front staffs were excellent, they were welcoming, helpful, polite and friendly and spoke good English. Room size was okay but it was very clean, mopped (I think), cozy, warm in winter. Bathroom was sparkling and clean linen. It was a good deal and came with wide spread of buffet breakfast. Oh yes! Looking left up the street is Acropolis 👍😃

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every aspect. We chose it mainly for the amazing view from the rooftop. It also is in a great location, very close to the main square and Monasteraki Station. The staff were very helpful and . Highly recommend!
