Whilst lovely, this is barely a hotel, and certainly not five stars. It is a conference and wedding venue that seems to try and sell its rooms to private guests during the week. While the staff are delightful and very helpful, and the venue is beautiful, the facilities and service are very limited. There is no pool or spa (despite these being pictured on all the holiday websites we looked at). Although the staff did say they'd taken the spa photos down on their own website, this was not made clear at the time of booking. During the week there is an extremely limited menu of just five basic items available to eat (lunch and dinner) - and as the hotel is a good 15min drive from the nearest town, this was a serious issue. The room (we had a junior suite) was absolutely beautiful but again, clearly a wedding venue rather than a hotel - no room service, and very few amenities - although the surrounding park and walks are lovely. We came here for a quiet and romantic holiday away without our children and to be fair, we achieved that. However, I would warn anyone who thinks that this is a ”hotel” to beware - it is not, it is a very charming conference centre and certainly every day we were there, they had a big event and we felt very much in the way. We ended up staying elsewhere for the last two nights of our stay, as there are far nicer places in the area - something the Castillo did not seem surprised by and did not ask us why we were staying elsewhere or if anything was wrong. When we finally checked out, despite having paid in advance, the (again charming) lady at reception had no idea that we'd already paid, and there was confusion over whether we had to pay again. We left with not a good taste, and sadly - although we have nothing bad to say about the staff or the location, both of which are very nice - we would not come back. However, other people seem to have had a lovely time here so perhaps it depends what you are looking for, and what your standards are. Final word though: cannot fault the staff, all of whom were courteous, charming, spoke perfect English, and were very patient and polite.

Ein fabulöses Gebäude, das von der Hand Gottes durch die Stadthalle verlassen wird. Sie genießen hervorragende Zimmer, Aussichten (wenn es kein Schoß) gut - je nach Zimmer. Ich verstehe, dass die Lage nicht zentral ist, aber Oviedo ist keine große Stadt, und in kurzer Zeit sind Sie überall, auf Fuß. Es ist bedauerlich, dass das Gebäude nicht zu einem touristischen Ziel verwandelt wurde (Frankreich oder Italien würde es in die Leitungen setzen), so dass es in Isolation verschwunden ist. Wir wissen bereits, dass Calatrava keine Arbeit ohne Zorn beendet, und das Versprechen, dass die Decke bewegt werden würde, wurde nicht erfüllt. Aber das Gebäude ist spektakulär. Die Nebenseite, ohne ein Restaurant in einem Hotel dieser Kategorie, zwingt Sie, Pläne von ihm zu machen. Menschen, Zimmer, Reinigkeit. Gute Aufzüge sollten verbessert werden, Bootlenecks passieren. Ort, nicht zentriert, aber Sie können in 10' zu der Innenstadt gehen.

Das erste ist, dass das Hotel auf einem wunderschönen Ort ist, ich bin behindert und ich gehe auf einem Rollstuhl das Hotel ist voll für uns geeignet, das Zimmer ist sehr groß und lassen Sie mich sagen, sehr schön, der Service fantastisch, Sehr freundliche und entschlossene Empfänger, sehr gutes Essen. In meiner ersten Erfahrung in diesem Hotel war es wunderbar und sicher, dass ich wieder zu ihm zurückkehre. Empfohlene 100%

Ausgezeichnete Aufenthalt im Hotel. Zwei Viertel vom Busbahnhof, auch nur wenige Viertel vom Zentrum entfernt zu gehen oder etwas zu trinken. Super sauberes Zimmer und der sehr freundliche und freundliche Empfangsmann.

Very ample room with a lot of space if you travel with kids and very good price/quality ratio. I cannot give any opinion on the breakfast since we did not book it. Very helpful staff. Location is convenient close to both Oviedo and Gijón and views are nice. You have space around for parking even in August.

We absolutely loved this hotel decided to stay there at last minute because it’s only about a 15 minute drive from Asturias airport . It’s in a beautiful peaceful setting with fabulous views and lovely garden . Staff at reception so friendly and helpful . Hotel is very Spanish in style with a very comfortable feel. Public areas furnished in traditional style really comfortable. Rooms very spacious, large bed ,fabulous large bathroom really well equipped. We had dinner which was great value and really good at €30 each which included a lovely bottle of Rioja . There is a Spa here too which unfortunately we didn’t have time to sample . The hotel would be a great base for touring all the towns , villages and beaches in the region . Cudillero only about 20 mins drive , Saint Esteban about 10 mins drive . Our only regret was that we would have loved to stay for a week . We’ll definitely be back !!

Hotel céntrico y cómodo, cercano al puente romano, en la plaza del pueblo, junto al Ayuntamiento. En la trasera hay un parking grande pero es de pago hasta el sábado al mediodía, aunque hay zonas cercanas para aparcar gratuitamente. El personal de recepción es agradable. La habitación muy amplia y decorada con gusto, parece renovada, un baño grande con ducha y bañera gigante. Las almohadas son cómodas y la cama grande pero en el centro había cómo una diferencia de altura, es posible que lo formaran 2 colchones de diferente grosor o 2 somieres con el ajuste de las patas diferentes. También dispone de un sofá que se convierte en cama. Las persianas tienen tecla de subida y bajada automática. Tv grande con muchos canales. En el baño, en la zona de espejos hay poca iluminación y es escasa para maquill**** o ver con nitidez la cara.... El desayuno variado con fruta, yogures, cafés e infusiones, zumo y bollería industrial pero sabroso y embutido. No hay huevos, ni bacon ni similar, pero está bien y es suficiente para salir desayunado del hotel. Si vuelvo por la zona repetiré. El hotel dispone de bar y restaurante, que tiene buena pinta, con terraza, y se ve frecuentado por los lugareños.

En principio iba con un poco de dudas ,para mí sorpresa la estancia de 3 días fue inmejorable La comida genial, habitaciones limpias y grandes Mis felicitaciones al personal en general impecable el trato con todo el grupo ,sin duda volveremos
