Our room was on the third floor and while not ideal when carrying luggage up stairs that become more narrow as you ascend, was quiet, comfortable, and clean. The view faced Biltmore Village and through winter’s trees, we could see all the way south to the church. Breakfast was served daily and freshly prepared in the kitchen off the dining room. Gas lit fireplaces in the living room and dining room added warmth and charm. An unexpected warm spell also was welcomed with sunshine and the ability to open the screened windows. If the creaks of century old wooden floors are your thing, this is another reason to choose this location. The inn’s location is convenient to major transportation arteries and just down the hill from local shops and restaurants approaching downtown Asheville. We will return to Cedar Crest Inn, having become Biltmore Passholders and looking forward to visiting during other seasons throughout the year.
