Excellent place to stay in Arusha. The grounds and common areas are beautiful and lush and very nicely taken care of. The rooms are clean, tidy, large and spacious, with very comfortable beds. The staff is helpful and prompt and friendly. The location is very convenient and close to the city center.

i knew the place as a consultants lodge before COVID. Unfortunaely this time has gone. It is a middle class backpackers place now and often slightly crowded maintenance of rooms should be better. Breakfast could improve as well as other food choices.

The Lodge is nice with its Pool and lovely garden. I have been in two different rooms. The rooms are nice and clean. In the first room the flush of the toilet worked only sometimes. In the second room I had to find out a trick, how the flush works. 😀 The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Restaurant has good food, but not a lot of tipical tanzanian food. And if you pay, possible with Dollar or Schilling, they dont give a change. Breakfast ist very good.

This was our launching spot for our safari with G Adventures. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The included breakfast was generous in selection and was very tasty. The main menu, while limited was very good. The beef samosas and Hallomi cheese quickly became a popular snack. We stayed 2 extra nights after our safari and enjoyed the time to unwind. There's a Masai market close by to visit if time allows.

Very beautiful accommodation in a very green setting at the center of Arusha. We stayed here before our safari started, organized by Tanzania Horizon Safaris. As soon as you enter you forget about the town around you. It feels more like a garden somewhere outside of town. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. I also liked the shower and the pool area. I really loved the second floor of the restaurant which became my hideout spot to enjoy good tea called chai with milk and some good coffee in the morning. The restaurant charges very fair prices. Altogether we had a wonderful stay and the reception was very attentive at all times.

The Kilimanjaro trekking company we used uses the Outpost as it's midrange priced hotel to stay upon arrival for one's trek. We arrived late and tired from US. It backs up to a residential neighborhood with dogs that bark all night and a club that plays techno music into the wee hours of the night. We got no sleep the first night. We slept better the second night on the eve of our trek, but still barking dogs and techno music. Upon return from summiting Kili, we were so tired that we'd have slept through 4th of July fireworks. The rooms are pretty basic, but spacious. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Bathrooms were huge, but a little basic. But what made our stay so enjoyable was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, polite, and accommodating. The restaurant is also quite good and so inexpensive. We stayed another night after we returned from safari and the place almost felt like home. Outpost is no thrills ... if you want luxury, go elsewhere, but otherwise you'll enjoy your stay.

I stayed here before and after a Serengeti safari. It's a beautiful lodge with large, pleasant rooms with huge showers, a nice bar/restaurant with a good choice of food and drink, great breakfasts, and a friendly and helpful staff.

This is a great place to start your Safari journey! I stayed here for 1 night before heading to my Safari and 2 nights before heading back home. The staff is very friendly and accommodating with great meals for breakfast (buffet style), lunch, and dinner. The rooms are great and comfortable. I recommend bringing ear plugs for sleeping if you are a light sleeper as outside noise during the night time can be a little too loud such as dogs barking or motorcycles driving by.

Stayed here at the beginning and end of our safari trip because it's close to the airport. It has a jungle, earthy, nature feel despite being in the middle of Arusha, which I appreciate! There's a swimming pool, great dinner options, and a stellar breakfast buffet (the French toast is delicious!). The rooms are fine and do have a mosquito covering, but one of the showers didn't have hot water when we ran it. But the other room did! One thing to note is that light sleepers may want to bring earplugs since there are dogs that are quite loud and active at night. I used earplugs and was totally fine.
