We have recently stayed at Dunbrody, in their little cottage. The accommodation is very comfortable and finished to a high standard, the cottage is very warm, despite electric heating, so there was never any worry that we will be cold. Beds are very comfortable and it's a nice and quiet spot to relax and re-charge. Couple of comments I have: - being a first time guest there, the cottage does not have any marking, we actually passed the cottage thinking it's elsewhere and our car got stuck at the end of the road in deep mud. - Few bits and pieces in the cottage were broken: the bathroom sink was leaking, the bathroom bling was broken, and the dining room window was broken - unable to open it, as hinges were broken and the front door latch was broken too - if anyone pulled at the front door while locked with some strength it could easily pop open. - We didn't get any housekeeping while staying there, that's generally not a big deal but with having a little "kitchen" corner, without a sink (except for the bathroom one) it was very hard to be able to use the cups and bowls on second day. This brings me to my last point: - sink in the bathroom has two faucets, but you cannot possibly use the hot water as it comes out as boiling, and the other one as freezing, so we couldn't clean the items even if we wanted to. - Parking is plentiful - Scenery is beautiful, and you are not short of walks and views around the area - The main house is beautiful and there is a little boutique opened part time, where you can purchase local hand made gifts as well as some of Kevin Dundon's books and preserves. - Staff are very welcoming and helpful - Food in the Local is nice and accommodating to dietary requirements
