The SPA is simply magnificent — intimate, calming, and beautifully designed. The complimentary bathing caps are a rare and much-appreciated touch that reflects the hotel’s attention to detail. The building itself is stunning, blending historic character with modern elegance. You can truly feel the history emanating from the walls of this impressive property. The beautifully maintained gardens invite you to slow down and enjoy a peaceful walk. The restaurant offers refined Portuguese cuisine with a modern twist, paired with an excellent wine selection. The rooms and bathrooms are exceptionally spacious, adding to the overall sense of comfort and luxury. Perfectly located in the heart of the city, yet wonderfully tranquil, with free private parking, this hotel is a rare gem. A place we will return to with great pleasure."

"We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We had a problem with the first night extra bad (the matress was too thin..). Early at the morning at the reception they were very helpful solving the problem, and offered us an upgrade to a superior room without any extra fee. The room was not to big but enough for 3. Despite the breakfast don't have many options, it had quality and we enjoyed. Location close to the city/village that you can reach with a 3/5 minutes walk. There is private parking, but street parking is easy. A good option for Arouca."

"Very charming hotel, inspiring nature and rural surroundings. The hosts and staff were exceedingly nice and attentive and the decoration is sober, simple and elegant. Lovely breakfast with lots of fresh fruits and nice breads, served in a magnificent room with wide views to the garden and the green valley with chestnut trees and oak trees. Charming living room with stone walls, a fireplace and table games. Warm and comfortable bedroom with a private balcony and plenty of space. The building is very well rebuilt, keeping its seventeenth/ eighteenth century magic but with a modern, fresh twist. Only two suggestions: replace the bedroom lights for warmer ones (white lights are a bit too cold and unwelcoming) and have some more towelracks in the bathroom."

"This was a nice surprise. Like a hidden paradise on the brink of the village. Quite and peaceful. Rooms are 18th century style with a some modern details. There is a pool and very nice surrounding. Breakfast was very good and rich. We were all very pleased with the whole experience."
