Essen an der Bar war gut. Guter Koch. Nachteile: An einem sehr steilen Hügel. Nicht gut für ältere Leute/kleine Kinder/Behinderte. Reinigungskräfte nicht so toll. 1x frische Handtücher und Bettwäsche pro Woche. Boden wird nicht sauber gemacht. Eine sehr unhöfliche Barangestellte! Getränke an der Bar sehr teuer. Dame an der Rezeption wusste nichts! Fragte nach Quads. Hat nichts gesagt. Stellte einfache Touristenfragen … hat nichts gesagt! Kein guter Anfang."

Argostoli Essence Suites

"We stayed for 3 nights after having to move from our previous accommodation in Lassi . The staff are all very helpful. Our room was on the ground floor and was very spacious even if a little dark, with Molton Brown shower facilities. The breakfast area was outside and not very big hence the reason you have to pre-order the night before, also the time you would like it. Most of the tables were in the sun, unless you were lucky to get 2 of the tables that were in the shade , and in June when we were there it did get a bit too hot and butter was melting before we could use it ! There was nowhere inside to have breakfast which we would have preferred. The pool was a square large bath, in the shade , you could just cool down in it , but not for swimming , which we didn’t use. The hotel would be ok to use as a base for exploring Kefalonia if you have not been to the island before and possibly only for a short break."

Dionysos Village Resort

"Located on the mountain so the views are incredibly beautiful. Up a hill, easy 15 minute walk down to the main street but as it was so steep we did not walk back up, taxi back up cost 8 euros. The entire complex is very very clean, rooms have kettle, fridge, safe, hairdryer etc, tea and coffee is not provided so buy locally or take with you. Unfortunately our package with Jet 2 did not include air con (bizarrely), therefore we paid 7 euros a day for it so bear this in mind when booking your holiday. Pool area is beautiful with lovely comfy beds and cabanas. Pool bar offers good quality food. Staff are very helpful. Breakfast was lovely and a good variety of items was available. Dionysos Village Resort has one of the best locations we have every stayed in, views both during the day and at sunset are fabulous. No entertainment during the day or night apart from a weekly Greek night. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we can't wait to return."

"Ein weiterer Besuch in diesem freundlichen, familiären Hotel. Ich hatte ein Stadtblickzimmer als meine Tochter gebucht und war nur für eine Nacht in Argostoli, aber wir waren sehr froh, dass wir ein Meerblickzimmer mit zwei Betten (großes Doppelzimmer und Einzelbett) erhalten hatten. Alles in unserem Zimmer war schön sauber. Der Balkon machte einen komfortablen Ort, um die Kreuzfahrt-Schiff-Passagiere am Ende des Nachmittags wieder auf das Schiff zu sehen. Das Frühstück war schön mit viel Wahl. Die einzige Absenkung war, dass ich wünschte, wir hätten mindestens eine Nacht mehr verblieben! Ich freue mich auf unseren nächsten Besuch."

Katya and all the staff of this immaculate family hotel went out of their way to cater to my requests eg for a late checkout of tho leave luggage or for a room with an extra bed with a kindm smile. Liostasi Retreat

"Liostasi Retreat I want to mention from the start that this was our third consecutive year visiting this wonderful island, but it was our first time choosing the capital, Argostoli. We spent 9 wonderful days at Liostasi with my wife and our two children. We booked the apartment back in January, as it seemed ideal for us: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a large hallway with a fully equipped open-space kitchen, and an enormous balcony. The retreat’s rooms are named after famous beaches on the island, and ours was named Myrtos. The rooms are very beautiful, cleaning is done daily with great care, and our hosts were constantly attentive to anything that could improve the guests’ stay. From the very first day, we were warmly welcomed by our hosts, Giannis and Vassiliky. The location is very close to the airport, about a 20-minute drive, and also very near the lively city center, approximately a 10-minute walk to the first shopping stores and the impressive waterfront. Although we initially thought we knew the island well, our host provided us with a map and circled a multitude of new places worth visiting and exploring. Back to Liostasi. We wanted accommodation with breakfast included from the start, and we didn’t regret it at all. The breakfast was hearty, healthy, and typically Mediterranean, including, among other things: fresh fruits, Greek yogurt, honey, cereals, coffee, chocolate pastries, delicious bread, various jams, cheese, orange juice, and other items that, honestly, you can probably see in the photos. There’s also the option to have dinner here, but unfortunately, I can’t provide details since we didn’t have time for it. We would return late in the evening from the city, spend some time on the balcony terrace, and plan the next day. We felt amazing, the kids were thrilled with all the amenities provided by our hosts, and we left reluctantly but promised to return with joy to these wonderful and welcoming people.
