The rooms are nice, the pool is small but pleasant. The breakfast staff are unfriendly. We never once got everything that we as a family of 6 had ordered. One morning my mother in law wanted more fresh coffee at 945. Breakfast is until 1030. The breakfast staff ignored her as she stood at their bar and carried on eating themselves. Eventually they told her the coffee was finished and there would be no more even though there was 45 minutes of breakfast left. On our last morning it was raining and they had moved our table set for 6 right next to the car park with no umbrella, even though the previous mornings we had the same table by the pool with an umbrella. We got up as the plates were getting wet, the basket of bread was getting soaked so we knew we could not sit there. We were hovering not knowing where we could sit. The breakfast staff saw us getting up and not once did they come over to ask what was wrong. They just kept looking at us like we were being pains. The receptionist, short dark hair came out and said she would move us to a table under an umbrella. She was very nice and I think she could see we were not happy. She put tables together, dried the wet plates and gave us menus. She asked if were ok with the french menus or did we want the English ones. It was our last morning, not once did the breakfast staff offer us English menus. I don't expect English menus when abroad but if they had them why would they not offer them? The basket of bread was soggy with rain water. There were only 3 croissants between 6 of us. I asked for more croissants, the woman I asked huffed at me and didn't respond, she just flounced off to ask another member of staff. She then came over saying I could have 2 more croissants but no more. Not having enough croissants for guests is poor. It's on the menu so it wasn't something extra that I was asking for. There is no hot water late (11pm) or early in the morning (6am), no one to ask as there is no one on reception after 10pm. The welcome folder seems to be a set of threats, if the tissue box goes missing you will be charged, if the robes goes missing you will be charged 100 euros per robe etc etc. I have stayed in many hotels and this is the first welcome pack I have seen like this one listing a set of fines. It also states you can't bring food on to the hotel grounds (if you make a mess more fines) despite there being no food available during the day. On the morning we left the receptionist I mentioned earlier was very kind and gave us a bag of bread, croissants and water to take as we left before breakfast. We had asked her as we dared not ask the breakfast staff, I can just imagine the response we would have got. If they can't even make more coffee which is in their job description I doubt they would do anything extra. All in all, it was a disappointing stay for such a pricey hotel.
