Apartamentos Maribel

Have nothing but good things to say about the Maribel apartments. Smooth check in Lovely clean apartment (we were given a 2 bedroom for some reason!) We found the bed to be comfortable and everything you would need for a self catering weeks holiday Yes the towels don't get changed daily or room cleaned daily but we're not dirty people so didnt bother us but I'm sure if you asked at reception they would of sorted it out all the staff we came across were friendly and helpful We didn't do B&B or half board so cannot comment on buffet service but we did eat at the restaurant food was good good service and reasonably priced Complex and pool area kept clean Never had a problem getting sun bed Surrounding area very nice 10 minute walk to beach small cove with restaurants Supermarket few minutes walk very well stocked and reasonably priced Plenty of restaurants on the doorstep everyone we ate in was very good no complaints at all Bus stop and taxi rank just outside the apartments Very quiet resort which suited us felt very safe walking round in the evenings.

We stayed at the apartments for 5 nights and overall we had a lovely stay. We stayed self catering and supermarkets on site were great. Some lovely restaurants on the doorstep and the beach only 10-15 minute walk. We walked to Cala Santandria and that was around 25-30 mins.. There are just a few things that let the apartments down in our opinion. The beds are not the most comfortable, the local residents take over the complex as the pool is open to all..they are not the friendliest either!! The service is poor if you are not local and there were many times we had to ask for our bill, ask for more drinks or order food. We also had noisy locals next door who thought shouting and singing at 1am was the way forward for two nights! We complained to reception and was advised they only have one more night left so left us feeling that it didn’t matter they kept us awake! I do have to say that Manda in reception gave us the most lovely welcome with lots of advice but as the days went by the service was poor and overall we would not return to these apartments. As it was just a short break it was fine… if this is a longer stay/family holiday, I would definitely choose somewhere else!

We spent a week in one of the apartments which was clean and spacious. We were in the block behind the main complex which suited us as it was quiet. Good size 2 bedroomed apartment with sofa bed in lounge for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Supermarket behind the apartments and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Pool area a good size and never felt overcrowded. We walked to both beaches nearby which were small but nice. There is a bus stop right outside the apartments and we went to Ciutadella 3 times which is worth a visit, lots of restaurants and there are evening markets too. We booked a catamaran trip with Jet2 which was fab, not something I would usually do as I can’t swim! Really relaxing trip which stopped in 2 small coves where the sea was crystal clear. Menorca is a lovely place to visit if you prefer a quieter holiday which suited us.

Lovely accommodation and wonderful staff. I was originally planning on staying for 8 nights, 3 of which were in a 2 bedroom apartment which was very clean and comfortable, all the facilities you need, lovely kitchen area modern bathroom, great living area and an outside patio area. I was then moved to a 3 bedroom villa with private pool outside dining area. Kitchen was amazing with full size oven and hob washing machine and a dishwasher. Two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor with a jacuzzi bath! On the first floor was another double bedroom with en-suite bathroom room and access to a lovely terrace from the bedroom. Pool area was lovely and there was also a nice BBQ area, great TV in the living room. I was due to fly home on the 28th June and the flight was cancelled causing chaos at the airport, one phone call to the hotel and I was told come back and we will sort you out with accommodation, I was then given a one bedroom apartment which was again beautiful and clean and had a smaller kitchen area but I was very pleased to be able to continue my stay for the next 4 nights. During my stay in the villa the reception staff very kindly collected me from my accommodation and took me to the nearby restaurants and bars as I have mobility issues due to my knee injury. They even drove me home at the end of the evening. Cannot recommend these apartments/ villas enough. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful holiday. I am looking forward to returning in September .

Complex had a Strange layout, our apartment was a bit of a walk from main complex. Nice clean and modern apartment. Facilities were good. Double bed was extremely uncomfortable however twin beds were comfortable in other room. Bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed. Beds only changed once in our 10 day stay. View onto residential houses and a holiday villa with loads of teenagers partying all night at the weekend and kept us awake all night before we travelled home, I understand this is not the fault of the apartment owners. I enjoyed my stay however would not return

Well laid out apartment with a high standard of finish . Very clean complex. Staff were wonderful with special mention to Manda in reception. Complex has a restaurant and as we had booked self catering , we ate there twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner . Good menu, good portions and very tasty . Info book in apartment was in 4 languages and covered everything except recycling which we asked about and used the municipal bins . Overall, I would be happy to recommend.
