Dieses Hotel ist sehr modern und sauber und das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und der Bartender war sehr fertig. wirklich genossen hier zu bleiben und sehr empfehlen.Die Pools sind wirklich schön und die Lage ist großartig

We were in awe of this home. So much to explore and so much history! Loved the thick granite walls and original wooden doors/shutters with hardware, antiques and displays everywhere, beautiful view, and even a pool. It is situated in a quaint little area by a church and you can easily walk down to the river. The area around Ponte da Barca is absolutely beautiful and fun to explore. The hosts are very friendly and offered a lovely breakfast.

We picked this location as we were going to a music festival nearby and taking odd days to explore the area…in between we were hoping to chill by the pool. How disappointed were. The plastic tree that greets you in the reception, is a pretty good representation of what you are going to get…Fake, this place is soulless and fake, but what makes it worse, it’s “tired fake”. From the dirty grubby carpets and chairs, black scuff marks on the once clean white walls and the cheap Italian style melamine furniture now chipped exposing its self for what it really is .. cheap coated chipboard. The first night we booked a table for dinner, on our way out we thought we’d have a drink in the bar first. The bar was empty of customers and bar staff so we made our way to the restaurant. The food was so bad it was comical. The tenderloin I ordered was so tough it should have been served with a chainsaw on the side. Breakfast the next morning was the same odd, awkward experience. But one thing we did realise they were actually other people staying at the hotel, not couples as you’d expect in a spa hotel but large families with lots of kids. We made our way out for the day. On our return we thought we we have a few hours buy the pool, .not possible, the pool was full of screaming children. So next option, sit on the balcony with a drink.. the balcony walls had black mold on them and the wooden deck was almost rotten and didn’t feel safe. Anyway below you had more screaming kids playing ball games. The 2nd morning we woke up and noticed that the 2 coffee pods that we had on the first morning hadn’t been replaced, I asked at reception on the way out and was told I need to pay an extra 1€ per pod after the first night.? Also the shower gel and shampoo were not replenished after the 3rd day I had to go to reception again and ask for them. I could go on… basically this place made us miserable, so miserable we changed our flight home at extra cost and checked out 2 days earlier than we were booked in for, losing the money for those last 2 nights. I would not recommend staying here.

Wir haben hier im Rahmen einer Golfreise nach Nordportugal übernachtet. Wir haben den Golfplatz genossen, der sehr gut ist … wenn auch anständige Übungsmöglichkeiten fehlen. Das Hotel ist nichts Besonderes … sauber und funktional – keine Bar, aber Sie können an der Rezeption Alkohol kaufen und ihn auf Ihrem Zimmer konsumieren. Es gibt einen Pool und ein angeschlossenes Fitnessstudio, das von Hotelgästen – und auch von externen Mitgliedern – genutzt werden kann. Das Personal im Fitnessstudio war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist ok. Da das Hotel kein Restaurant hat, hatten wir ein Paket, das es uns ermöglichte, im Restaurant des Golfclubs zu essen. Das Essen hier ist wirklich sehr mittelmäßig … ein festes Menü mit einer Auswahl von zwei Gerichten pro Gang (mehr zum Nachtisch). Meine Kalbspasta war an einem Abend leider so gut wie ungenießbar. Das Personal im Restaurant ist sehr unzuverlässig … abgesehen von Miguel, der sich außerordentlich bemüht und sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert hat. Daumen hoch für ihn!

Uma Unidade hoteleira com um serviço muito bom e bem localizada. O alojamento é muito confortável e bastante asseado. Boa comida e variedade de escolha em cada refeição, com um serviço eficiente. Espaços muito agradáveis em redor, dos quais se destaca a piscina.

rating would be higher if not for problems in the restaurant. the hotel itself is lovely. desk staff very personable and helpful. we stayed in the king bed suite. separate bedroom, two balconies, lovely large bathroom, strong AC. the wi-fi was quite poor, cutting out regularly. nice view of the church and the valley across the road. area very quiet starting at dusk. but be aware that on Sunday evening it seems that a large quantity of people come to that church for mass. traffic became an issue. at least on our Sunday. we enjoyed the convenience & variety at breakfast. but dinner at the restaurant was full of problems. we were told we needed a reservation so we made one for 7p. when we arrived on time, the door was still locked. once we we let in, the two staff on the floor appeared to be just setting up for the evening. once seated, there were 3 parties inside, 2 of us, 2 gentlemen from UK, and a party of 17 (!) clearly from a tour group. this large party became the focus of the floor staff to our detriment. when we did get attention, the server was surly, barely interested in answering menu questions. and once the food arrived, were given the wrong dish not once but twice. rather than wait for the correct entrée to be produced, i ate what was served, a veal dish similar to a tenderloin steak. the salad and vegetables served with the meal were very tasty and the veal wrapped in bacon was good for the first couple of bites but once you got into the meat, it was clear that it was barely cooked. i know veal shouldn't be cooked beyond medium rare but this was barely warm. very disappointing. and trying to get any help while the two staff gave almost all their attention to the table of 17 was really frustrating for us and the other gentlemen hoping for a nice meal. management needs a better plan to handle large parties. maybe restrict other diners until large party has departed.
