The tours like the safari were overpriced for the area. The rule to take shoes off in areas like the lobby was pretty inconvenient. Food variety for people with dietary restrictions was limited.

Our girls (ages 10 & 8 years old) loved this special haven more than any other place we stayed at in Ecuador or Galapagos, and I attribute that mostly to our wonderful guide, Leo, who was fabulous! Leo was great with keeping the kids entertained (especially with the adorable Ramon!) and interested while on hikes and day trips. He was always checking in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay, and very knowledgable about everything we were seeing and doing. The food was really wonderful and accommodated all of our needs as I'm a vegetarian. What I particularly liked was that we could have our two kids venture off on the property and feel totally at ease with safety. We really liked the chill vibe here and our accommodations were very nice. We even splurged on laundry here since we were traveling for a while and the staff accommodated our needs last minute. Everyone working there was very attentive and friendly! We will never forget our experience here and will treasure it forever! It was a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season.

Our family of four had a wonderful experience at Kuyana Amazon Lodge! We had pick-up from Quito directly to the lodge, with all arrangements for rafting with our 9 year-old and 11 year-old. If you are looking for an experience at the edge of the Amazon, this is it!

This is a peaceful family run retreat built by Ivan and Lu. The rooms are fabulous situated in a beautiful setting and very eco friendly. The staff and guides are so attentive and knowledgeable - nothing is too much trouble. We made our own chocolate which was really fascinating and sutrisingly easy. It's a real rainforest retreat with some lovely waterfall hikes and lots of butterflies, birds and some noisy frogs. The Lodges have large windows so you can lay in bed and watch them - I loved watching the hummingbirds. Plus, the lovely Ramon is very entertaining! Highly recommended.

What an oasis! We spent 3 days at the lodge and wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was incredible in helping organize our itinerary and transport and were incredible in making it a memory we’ll never forget. Relaxing at the lodge, hiking the property or rafting the river. You can’t go wrong visiting this wonderful eco lodge and you won’t leave hungry!

Fantastic place in jungle! Very nice lodges (9), spacious, cozy decorated in fantastic garden with pool and nice corners to sit. Food is super, from breakfast, over lunch to dinner! The hikes starting from the lodge were fun and sometimes even challenging. The jungle safari was less enjoyable (only the part on water was fun, the rest was too touristy, the community for example). Special mention for Sean, he arranged everything and did his best to make you feel at home, the right man on the right place! Top location! Would so go back ...

Went with our 10 year old boys. This place was heaven on Earth. The staff were so accommodating, friendly and welcoming. The food was FANTASTIC! Our lodge (Anaconda) was comfortable, cozy and gorgeous. There are lots of fun places to hang out on the property. The rafting was so much fun and the rafting company was also great! I could not recommend this place enough. Worth the 3 1/2 hour drive from Quito. They helped organize transportation to and from their lodge. If you’re thinking about going here, do it!

The best experience I've ever had! I came here with my partner expecting a cute little few days away but we were blown away! The lodge we stayed in was amazing with great views of the jungle and a lovely walk in shower. The food was delicious and catered perfectly for us being vegetarian. We had our guide for the days (Shaun) who was so lovely and made our stay very memorable. All the activities included were great and we learnt so much of the local culture. If you have the time to go here, you should. It's 100% worth the price.

Fantastic eco lodge. The owners are so kind and welcoming. The guides are knowledgeable and the activities were very fun! We hiked to a waterfall, made chocolate, necklaces, and went rafting too. A great value and a wonderful staff. The rooms were very nice too. It feels like you are so deep in the jungle—a very special place for sure.
