We stayed at this hotel last year and enjoyed it so much that we didn't even consider staying anywhere else this year, when we booked it again to have a reunion with our friends from overseas. We had a great time; the swimming pool was fantastic; the hotel restaurant where we had our reunion dinner was absolutely amazing! The staff is very accommodating and charming. If we will ever come to Dordogne again, we will be staying at Chateau de Reynats!

Wunderschönes Hotel, majestätisch, einmalige Lage, prachtvolles Foyer, schöne Zimmer. Vor 3 Jahren renoviert, sieht man auch, ist wirklich sehr gut gelungen. Lifte fahren eher schleppend und sind recht klein, offensichtlich ist das Geld bei der Renovierung ausgegangen, denn anders kann man sich diesen Zustand wirklich nicht erklären. Eine Perle ist der Frühstücksraum. Ein atemberaubende Ausblick auf den Ozean schon beim Frühstück ist wirklich unbeschreiblich. Frühstück sehr vielfältig, es fehlt an gar nichts. Vielleicht mit Ausnahme der Rühreier, die offensichtlich eine eigene Interpretation des Hotels sind, bedauerlicherweise kann man diese klebrige Masse nicht essen. Nach unserer Ankunft wollten wir nur ein kleines Mittagessen zu uns nehmen… Nach Bestellung der Tagliatelle hat uns eine eher Kinder-Portion zum stolzen Preis von 30€ erwartet. Ich denke, das muss wirklich nicht sein! Personal grüßt beim Vorbeigehen nur, wenn dieser Lust drauf hat….geht gar nicht! Personal beim Frühstück sehr net, bemüht, flott, Englisch Kenntnisse eher Mangelware, mit Ausnahme der Rezeption. Offensichtlich ebenfalls viele Quereinsteiger, da von allen Seiten serviert wird;-) Spa eher dürftig. Indoor Pool schön, Zugang durch stehendes Wasser nicht besonders hygienisch. Der ganze Pool und Spa Bereich wirkt schmuddelig. In der Sauna steht das Wasser auf dem Boden:-((( Outdoor Pool sehr schön, Personal sehr gut, Liegen werden nicht mit Handtüchern markiert!!!! Vielleicht zu wenige Deutsche Touristen :-))

Walking into the reception area and passageways there is a feeling of faded grandeur reminiscent of the great hotels of 100 years ago. However the bedroom and breakfast room were all clean and modern. Our room was of good size with a long wall table giving plenty of space for laptops etc. Initially there was only one chair but a second was quickly provided on request. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice. Outstanding above all was the friendly and helpful attitude of the staff – day reception, evening reception, breakfast room – all of them. With two nights bed and breakfast for two and underground parking in their car park next door the cost was €201 which we felt was very good value.
