Warum sieht man dort keine Italiener? Weil sie die schönen Seiten in Anzio kennen.... Die Kellner sitzen beim Essen gelangweilt herum, können keine Auskunft geben. Das Restaurant hat vielleicht 30 Flaschen Wein vorrätig, keiner aus Lazio.... Die Kellner kennen die wenigen Sortenweine gar nicht. Das warme Essen wird kalt serviert also zB auch ein Steak. Die Zimmer sind ansprechend aber so schlecht beleuchtet, dass man nicht in einem Buch lesen kann. Das Hotel ist knapp 3km vom Zentrum (Piazza Pia) entfernt. Speziell: Von den Gästen wird Vorauskasse erwartet bei der Ankunft, das erschwert den Ablauf bei der Abreise. Touristeninfos gibt es keine, nicht mal einen Städteplan. Unser Eindruck: Es kommen nur Billiggruppen in dieses Haus, der Begriff Grand Hotel ist an den Haaren beigezogen.Auch wenn sich das Haus mit einem schicken Foyer outet, dahinter sind nicht mehr als 2 Sterne anzubringen. Leider!!

The hotel building is old fashion and good looking, most impressive is the tunnel to the swimming pool. The bad experience was that we got stollen 120 euro from the wallet left in the room. Our mistake consisted that we didn’t left the wallet in the safe. Then the attitude of the stuff was confronting .. non-collaborative and with a test of revenge ( me Mateo even order the bartender not to serve us drinks without prepayment in cash or card.

This hotel is past its best and stuck in a 1950's time warp. Clean enough and breakfast was ok. Don't expect to use the pool as it had no water in it but the beach is across the road. Stayed just the one night on the way to the airport after trip to Monte Cassino.

Unfortunately, my partner and I were not impressed by this hotel. It is rated as a four star and quite honestly it would struggle to get two stars in my opinion. Once upon a time it may well have been “Grand” but now it certainly is not that. The room was very basic and very dated. Although the bedsheets and towels were clean the room in general was badly marked with many stains and dirt over the walls. The air-conditioning unit was broken. The door handle was falling off to the balcony. you could not leave a dog or child on the balcony as they would fall between the gaps, the shower room was the most disappointing part with the shower tray blocking the way for your feet when you sit on the toilet, there was mould on the grouting around the shower, the shower hose fitting had broken off the wall, the toilet seat was loose and kept on slipping over to one side. The breakfast was equally as basic, it’s scrambled eggs were hideously overcooked and there was such a lack of choice which for an extra payment was appalling. We will certainly not be returning to this hotel.

A bit old, shabby hotel. The staff is very kind and helpful! Be prepared to pay for everything: breakfast, gym, pool, sunbeds, even if you bring food and drinks into the hotel!!! So, final you will pay double the normal room rate. I think this is a bad strategy. Disappointment.

We had a nice stay in hotel dei cesari located in Anzio. Not far from Rome. Nice and large room close to the beach. Perfect service on the beach and also the swimming pool with view in the sea. Nice bar for drinks and snacks. We had full board and enjoyed the various menu's of the restaurant. Nice entertainment too on the evening before the national holiday called "ferragosto". I recommend.👍🏻

Avoid this dated hôtel with no right to use the swimming pool! The night cost over 160 euros for a really derelict hotel. In the price no access to the shabby pool which is very small and dated too. The access to the beach is two floors down and difficult with no umbrellas or lettini. If you look back you just see concrete blocks and the beach is short. Rifts make it dangerous to swim moreover. The air conditioning in the room was very poorly working and everything was very unpleasant.

Service at the hotel was really good. Also the breakfast was almost at an intercontinental level. We had a double room in the main building and a trippel room in the side building. All was satisfying and the cleaning of the rooms was every day and at a good quality. The best part of the hotel is the location. Really near the beach and the area with the swimming pool was also good. All in all we had a ver nice stay at this hotel.
