Nature Lodge

I really enjoyed my stay at Nature Lodge Madagascar. Excellent location. Peaceful and calm atmosphere surrounded by nature. Beautiful views of mountains trees and the far ocean view. I felt very peaceful and happy. Staff were excellent. Very friendly, smiling positive and made me comfortable at my stay. They were extremely helpful. Very knowledgeable. Food is delicious and healthy. Very clean and nice bungalow beautiful views.

We stayed here for 2 nights (22-24 october) and wished we could have stayed longer. The Lodge is located perfected in the Ambre mountains with a magnificent view over the mountains and over the bay of Diego Suarez. The lodge is also close to the parc entrance. There is no swimming pool at the lodge but we didn't miss it. The lodge has a big main building with a bar and restaurant with a terrace and just over 10 bungalows. We were in bungalow 10 with a nice view over the mountains some other bungalows has more a view over the bay. It is a wooden bungalow and the bungalow is beautiful and clean with a nice bathroom and a separate toilet. You also have a terrace with 2 not to comfortable seats but a beautiful view. The restaurant has a great terrace and also inside it is really beautiful. Breakfast is served at your table and is okay unfortunately we had no eggs. Lunch and dinner is a set menu with 2 or 3 choices for each course. They like it if you pre order your dinner. We liked the food over here.

Beautiful lodge in a well-kept garden with great views in Joffreville near the Montagne d'Ambre National Park. The rooms are very large, clean and well equipped. The highlight is the terrace. There is also a nice restaurant and bar. One of the best breakfasts we have had in Madagascar. Dinner booked in advance was also good, but not as excellent as the breakfast (zebu rather tough, possibly prepared and reheated?). You can pay with a Visa card (no mastercard), which is a plus. Would have liked to stay longer.

I'm not even sure where to begin, as this place is an absolutely magical little oasis, and words won't do justice to how incredible this place truly is! Let me first say that as a Tour Operator myself, and having been to 155 countries on earth, this is one of the most awesome and unique places I've ever stayed at! The management there, starting with Natalie, was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire booking process. She arranged transportation for us each day, including airport transfers (roughly 45 min to the lodge). On arrival, we were greeted by the on-site manager Nathan, who made us feel right at home! The place itself is perched up on the hill, with breathtaking sunsets, outstanding amenities, and dedicated staff members! The room was an absolute little gem, with electricity, hot water, and stunning views of the mountains (bungalow 12). The bed was firm but comfortable. We truly enjoyed lounging on our patio chairs each day! We had our 3 meals there each day, and they had a great variety of food options to choose from. Breakfast was made of fresh fruits, yogurt, pastries, juices, and great coffee. Lunch and dinner had various dish options, including seafood, vegetarian, zebu, and chicken. For the most part, each meal was very good, though hit or miss here and there. Again, this isn't the Ritz Carlton, so set your expectations for meals. The property is absolutely beautiful and well manicured. The main lodge has an African Safari feel to it, with very westernized and modern amenities. They even have a bar with a great selection to choose from. But what really made this stay for us was the dedicated staff. We can't thank Nathan, Tcherina, Hery, Thomas, and Sylvestre (Mr. Arraigné) for such amazing hospitality! Nous vous apprecions vraiment beaucoup!

nature lodge has a fantastic staff! Multi lingual, friendly and attentive. The cabins are comfortable and the views are lovely. You can see the mountains and the sea from the veranda. The food is hyper local and fresh. The ginger calamari is worth asking for.
