Annerley Motor Inn

Disgusting disgusting disgusting. Opened the door and was hit in the face with the over powering smell of cigarette smoke. Tried airing it but nothing helped. Nothing was clean..... kitchen area was dirty, bathroom was dusty and the floor disgusting. After walking round bare foot for 10 mins my feet were brown! There was mould on the roof in the bathroom & what appeared to be blood on the floor in the bathroom. Insufficient bedding (a sheet only on the beds and 2 blankets in the cupboard that looked like they hadn't seen a washing machine in years). Then to top it all we were woken at 1am by a mouse in the room, trying to eat some food we had on the table! This kept us awake for hours until we eventually saw it and my husband tried to catch it but it ran under our bed. At this point he discovered the mess under our bed.....wrappers, packets from food, crumbs etc. We knew it was going to be an old motel, but I don't believe that means it can be left filthy. Definitely was not as it was described and the photos must be VERY photoshopped as it looked NOTHING like them. We were also woken by guests yelling at other guests at about 5am! I WOULD NOT recommend this motel to anyone. In all honesty it needs to be reported to the health inspectors as it is so run down and filthy. Definitely would not recommend it, especially if you're travelling with children.
