Not a bad little hotel. The hotel itself is not all that interesting, but at least the room was clean. The man on the front desk was helpful. Not sure if they speak English or not since I only spoke French with them. Close by you have a number of restaurants. And you can walk to everything within minutes. There is a cafe/bar to the left, Les Salles Gossses that gets fairly acrive on a weekend. To the right there is a burger place 99 Street Burgers open late, and during the daytime, walk down the street to the right and there is a big square, Place de l'Hotel de Ville with an old-time carousel, and several restaurants. As a stopover on the way to/from Geneva, it's a reasonable option. One negative point though it is minor: this hotel does inexplicably take a 100 euro deposit pre-authorised on credit card. This is a bit ridiculous as there is nothing in the room is worth 100 euros.

Das Frühstück kostet 9,9 Euro. Mein Bett ist ein Doppelbett mit zwei Einzelbetten, das Kinder aufnehmen kann und ein Schlafzimmer und ein Wohnzimmer hat. Die Lage ist sehr günstig in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und der Parkplatz wird nicht verstanden, weil ich nicht gefahren bin.

Hôtel sympa, personnel très gentil et studios bien équipés avec tout le nécessaire pour passer quelques jours de vacances. Je dirais que le seul point négatif c’est un petit manque de rangement dans la cuisine (a la place du miroir à côté de la cuisinière, je pense qu’il aurait été bien de mettre des étagères ou un petit meuble et mettre le miroir sur la porte de la salle de bain ou en face de l’armoire) car aucun endroit pour ranger les quelques courses pour le séjour une fois les vêtements dans l’armoire. En tout cas nous avons passé un très bon séjour !

Das Frühstück ist ein richtiges und repräsentatives kontinentales Buffet für dieses Hotel. Zwei Bemols: - es wäre wirklich wichtig, Brot zu angeboten. Es ist nämlich nicht sicher, dass jeder Kunde das Brot bekommt, um es zu schneiden. Cela choque d'autant plus dans le contexte sanitaire mais indépendamment du virus du moment ce n'est guère hygiénique. - une réception ouverte 24/24 serait plus rassuring qu'un seul système de carte magnétique pour débloquer tous les accès (porte d'entrée, accès à l'ascenseur ou escale) sans possibilité de faire appel à quelqu'un si défaillance (j'ai posé la question). Les tarifs sont cependant élevés, il conviendrait d'engager du personnel et ne pas penser uniquement au profit des actionnaires.

This Novotel hotel is conveniently located opposite from the Annemass train station. It is a modern hotel which still has the appearance of a new built addition to the centre of Annemass. The main shopping area is only a few minutes walk away where you will find a range of restaurants, bars and shops. The train into Geneva is only 15 mins and is a great option for a less expensive stay than Geneva priced hotels. This was a last minute booking as I was already in Annemass and unhappy with the hotel I was staying in. Even though I have the Accor app I wished to see if a more compelling price could be offered in person. I am glad to report the discounted prices on the app reflect the best price you can avail of in person. Unfortunately I was unable to check-in before 3pm even though I tried at 10am and 12pm. Although the room was available it was policy that you had to pay for an early check-in. Alas, a wait. The lobby is very contemporary and aesthetically pleasing. It has modern fixtures and fittings to a high standard. There is a small seating area in the lobby which joins on to the larger bar/restaurant area. There is a selection of food offered which is priced fairly. There is also a roof top bar open after 5pm which nice views and a terrace to enjoy the evening sunset. I was in a classic room which had a large comfortable bed with a range of pillows to suit your desired softness. The room is appointed with tea/coffee facilities, a fridge, safe, desk area and large television. The WiFi was a very good speed and strength with open access. There was good storage but it is open style shelving and hanging space. The majority of the room is taken up by the bathroom. A large walk in shower with nice vanity area and a separate lavatory. The room was very comfortable but slightly on the small side compared to other Accor hotels. Of course there are other upgraded room options available if this is important. My only complaint was the cleanliness which was seen from staining spray on the toilet walls and curlies under the toilet- no doubt where the mop had pushed them to. I did not avail of the breakfast as there are some nice bakeries near by. Overall this is a very nice hotel up to the expected Novotel standards. Of all the hotels available in Annemass this is not overpriced and you get a standard you will be happy with. The staff were very friendly and helpful and you were always greeted with a smile upon entry.
