Annecy - Icône Hôtel Annecy

I have been to Annecy many times but never to this hotel. First of all it's pretty central but, to be fair, the historical center is pretty small anyway so all hotels in the area arent far from it. The price I paid (booking a couple of months in advance) was very good for Annexy standards (I think it was around 70/80 euros for a single room) and what i got was a small but clean room, a comfortable bed and no noise since it wasnt facing the street. The bathroom was small but functional, I did notice some stains on the shower ceiling though. The staff is very kind, check in is at 3pm, check out at noon, there is a breakfast option for about 10 euros but I didnt have it. Overall, the value for money I got was excellent.

Location was excellent and staff were very friendly. There was some noise at night given it was a Friday but very manageable for one night. The room did have a few slightly broken or unkept aspects, but overall a good stay and value for money in comparison to other rates nearby

Dirty and had a horrible nights sleep, firstly there was black mold along the shower tray it had clearly not been cleaned in a while. There was a loud buzzing noise that came from the air conditioning unit and went off all night frequently which made it hard to fall asleep, there was also no curtains in the room resulting in us waking up very early to the sun. You could see where a curtain rail used to be on the wall but they hadn’t bothered to put it up again. The electrical sockets were not fully attached to the wall and you could hear the electric buzzing from one socket when you plugged something in. The staff were also very unfriendly and unhelpful. Once we raised all these issues with a staff member she replied the mold must have been missed but you could tell it had been building up for a while. We asked to speak to a manager but she said we could only call the hotel the next day to speak to someone else. We also said we refused to pay full price however they charged my card the next day 15 euros less of the total price however I would say that is still nowhere near acceptable for the number of issues the room had. Très bien situé. Point besoin de voiture. A un jet de pierre de la gare (15 mn à pied) J'avais demandé un dernier étage pour être au calme. Il y avait 3 chauffages mais aucun ne fonctionnait : un grand radiateur neuf inopérant, une clim réversible qui soufflait du froid, un autre radiateur neuf aussi, impossible à allumer et... une sorte de grille pain ancestral, cabossé qui lui fonctionnait mais ne me rassurait pas... traces noires et pas de prise de terre... le truc archaïque. Du coup, j'ai pu changer de chambre grâce à la femme de chambre super efficace. Nouvelle chambre au top. Chauffage efficient, pas mal pour janvier :) Le samedi, il faut savoir qu'une boîte de nuit est située juste en dessous et que c'est boum boum de 23 h à 4 h. Avec les bouchons d'oreille ça le fait mais bon... la fenêtre était double vitrage donc on n'entend pas les gens qui s'expriment dans la rue la nuit. (kebab en dessous). La rue à côté est piétonne et remplie de restaus, de bars et même une sympathique boulangerie ouverte le dimanche !!

Très bien placé avec parking tout proche, un vrai plus pour notre escapade pour le marché de Noël. Chambre moyenne qui aurait besoin de grand coup de rafraîchissement, litterie plutot confortable. Salle d'eau avec une douche minuscule qui avait des difficultés à évacuer. Pas d'ascenseur. Petit déjeuner correct, sans plus. En revanche, très bon accueil. Pour une nuit ça va mais pas plus.

Bon emplacement au pied du Vieux Annecy. Un peu de bruit dehors mais double vitrage efficace. Cependant très déçue de la chambre 2. Minuscule, des trous dans les plinthes, problèmes de lumière, salle de bain/Wc qui ne ferme pas à clé. Robinet eau chaude eau froide inversé... Niveau propreté c'était franchement limite : beaucoup de poussière déclenchant rhinite allergique, télécommande de télévision sale, j'ai du refaire le lit avant de me coucher ! Matelas plutôt confortable mais ça ne vaut pas le prix payé... Petit déjeuner assez pauvre pour 10€ par personne... des couverts pas franchement propre... Bref, je ne recommande pas.
