Comfortable, clean, safe, and centrally located. If you're looking for a space to sleep in comfortable beds, cook food or easily access great restaurants, relax, plan adventures, and get around or out of town without much hassle, then this unit will offer everything you need.The apartment has a small but fully-equipped kitchen, wifi, streaming TV, dining table and two more folding chairs that can be added to seat four, comfortable mattresses, floor space for yoga, extra cot with rollout tempur pedic, a quality book selection, shared washer/drier, shared patio, and a private entrance behind two locked doors. It is a bottom unit so you can hear the tenants above walking but they are professional and quiet people who do not party or play basketball inside. The nice thing about this unit in the summer is that it stays cool during the endless sunlight. And for the winter months, there is ample recessed lighting in the living room/kitchen area to make the space good and bright. Bedroom 1 has a queen medium firmness foam mattress and bedroom 2 has a double size medium firmness foam mattress. There is also a cot with a very comfortable rollout memory foam mattress, pillows, and linens. The backyard is being reforested so it might look like a mess but it is actually filled with baby spruce, birch, cottonwood, aspen, and mountain ash. There is a patio for you to enjoy the sunlight and birds. There is a husky who visits the yard from time to time. She is very nice but only likes to be pet on the head and neck.There is a park with a playground a 5-10 minute walk away and the unit has a travel crib with washable sheets and a highchair. The midtown/Umed district is close to everything. It is a short drive from the airport and downtown and an even shorter drive to the hiking trails in the Chugach front range. It also offers many of the amenities that the locals value as well as the tried and true popular spots such as Moose's Tooth Pizza. The neighborhood is safe with no history of break-ins or other criminal activity.The Seward Highway is down the street so it is very easy to get moving toward Seward or Denali without much effort. If you are coming to work at Providence or ANMC, both are about a 20 minute walk or a five minute drive.Please note that the owner does live in the building along with another tenant and both are quiet and professional people who have normal sleep schedules. After a break in 2022 for upgrading the floors and some furniture, we have made the house available for our guests to book for 2023.Location: Our house is in the midtown area of Anchorage, in a community on Tudor Road, one of the major streets in town. It is within a few miles to everywhere. The first time we saw it, we fell in love with it by its convenient location close to the University of Alaska, hospital, well-known Anchorage Botanical Garden, and an easy access to local restaurants and shops. The Backyard: At the back of the house is the Reflection Lake that offers a full view to the living room and a huge backyard deck. The summer sunset takes quite a few hours and one can enjoy the sunshine on the deck even after11 pm. Frequently you can see kayaks or canoes drifting and ducks splashing water for fun. The First Floor: Here you see the eating area, the kitchen, a powder room (a half bath), a French door to the deck, and of course the sitting room with a large window overlooking the lake. You can choose to have your breakfast either on the deck under the pavilion or at the eating area inside while enjoying the lake view. In addition, an electronic baby grand piano is available for your use. You will also see a smart TV in the sitting room. You can login your own accounts or use available Amazon Prime videos to watch movies and other TV shows. The Second Floor: we have three bedrooms upstairs. Two bedrooms face East, and one faces South; each is bathed in a plenty of sunshine. Spacious and airy, the Mater Room has a king-size bed and an En-suite full bath. The Guest Room 1 is smaller with a queen-size bed; the Guest Room 2 also has a queen-size bed. Opposite to the Guest Room 2 is the second full bathroom in the hallway. All rooms are very clean, eye-appealing, with comfortable bedding. There are TVs in the Master Room and the Guest Room 1. At the loft on the second floor, there is a big TV with Amazon Fire TV cube, easy to find and stream all your favorite shows, movies, sports, and more. Prime has been purchased and is available for watching movies and shows. If you have accounts with other channels, it's easy to log in too. The loft area is a place that you can relax, watch TV, and hang out in the evening; children particularly love the place. Opposite the loft area is the laundry room where you can use the washer and dryer.
