The hotel as such is really nice and clean. But there are too many negative points: There is no reception. The contact with"Bob"via WhatsApp etc is really good and quick, but the atmosphere is still a very cold one. There is no breakfast. The additional charges, like city tax, was not listed in the beginning; for me, that was a signal that it was included-it is not! The room is not cleaned during the whole stay (in our case,5 days) Check in is only at 3 pm! Quite late! The location is wide out of the city centre. You need 30 min+ to get in. For that, you need a tram ticket, 9€/day. If you are 2 and you add that to your stay, it's again a lot more. Next time I would opt for another hotel, closer to the city centre, even if 100€ more, that is then paid off due to the remoteness etc.

Amsterdam is always beautiful (even in the rain), but my recent trip was made incredible by my stay with Bob W in Oost. It is a lovely building with beautiful rooms and for good value.

We were immediately impressed by the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel as well as the little touches like snacks, local gym access, postcards, yoga mats for use, etc. The room was small but very nicely designed for efficiency of space. Unfortunately we were definitely let down by inconsistencies with service. The room key is completely digital and would not always work right away. This was especially worrisome one night when we returned and we could not get into our room. We were calling, sent texts and emails without any response. After continuously trying to enter the key finally worked after 20 mins but it was 45 minutes until someone finally called us back. There were also very small details like the TV streaming wasn’t really functional, the instant camera didn’t have any remaining film, we were not able to get through the front door after check out to retrieve our luggage we stored and had to call them to get in. The location was safe and a pleasant area but did feel it was quite far from the areas we wanted to visit and we relied heavily on transportation. There was also quite a lot of noise and would recommend requesting a room above the ground floor. While this hotel has a lot of potential, the inconveniences definitely weighed on our stay and would not be our first choice to return to.
