Arrived at 2am, had 2 nights booked, told by reception that had no room for us for first night and we’re going to put us in the hotel opposite, Big Ben hotel ( see my separate review on this hotel). After waiting a further 15 mins in reception they wheeled our cases over the road to the other hotel. I asked the reception manager what time we would be able to check into our room the following day as was I formed by 8.30am, so could have breakfast and then go to room. The following morning we wheeled our cases back across the road at about 8.15am ready to check into the room only to be informed that our room wouldn’t be available until midday! But it was going to be one of there best room a large suite. Not happy but having no choice went into breakfast. I’ve been to a lot of countries and stayed in some very basic hotels, but never have I had to have my coffee at breakfast out of a paper cups! We went into breakfast at about 8.30 am, breakfast goes on until 10.30am. They had hardly any food left, no cereal, yogurt, bread plus loads of other items missing. When I asked a member of staff if it was going to be replenished, was informed no. So we had what food we could and went back into reception to wait for our room to be ready. Eventually got into room about 11.45 am. Well if this is one of their best rooms I wouldn’t want to see a basic room. Was large and had a seating area and kitchenette. The sofa and armchair didn’t match, the table with tv was thick with dust. The tap on kitchen sink had been disconnected and we found out why when we used sink and it leaked. On a positive note the shower was hot and powerful and bedroom was ok, and sheets clean
