Schöne Lage, (schönes Dorf) schöne Landschaften und beeindruckende Eingang. Wir waren jedoch nicht im Haupthotel. Das Zimmer war groß, aber altmodisch. Das Dach lief an den Seiten, die wir mehrmals unsere Kopfe schlagen. Das Fenster war klein, was es reichlich machte und es war sehr dunkel, kein Hauptlicht im Schlafzimmer nur Lampen. Das Bett war Königsgröße und komfortabel. Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren sauber. Wir haben das Restaurant einmal zum Abendessen benutzt und wir hatten 2 Frühstücken und das Essen war schön und erschwinglich. Das Frühstück war Selbstbedienung (wie unser enthalten war) mit einer guten und reichhaltigen Variante. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber professionell. Wir haben den Pool am Ende nicht benutzt, da es darum ging, aus und zurück ins Haus zu gehen, da unser Zimmer nicht mit einer abgedeckten Route zum Pool verbunden war. Nichts wirklich zu beschweren, aber wir erwarteten, dass das Zimmer ein wenig luxuriöser sein würde. Ein wenig überpreis für das Zimmer. Ich hoffe, der Preis basierte auf den verfügbaren Einrichtungen.

Das erste Zimmer war zugewiesen und der Fernseher funktionierte nicht, aber das Personal fühlte mich gut in ein anderes Zimmer. Leider am nächsten Morgen um 8:30 Uhr gab es Arbeiter im Korridor, die die Decken ersetzten, so dass es laut Hammer, Bohrung und Sehbeute gab. Der Hotelmanager hat mir einen Nachtaufenthalt zurückerstattet, aber ich verstehe nicht, warum sie die Zimmer nutzen würden, wenn Reparaturen stattfinden. Ab dem Zimmer musste ich über Malerei und Werkzeuge gehen.

Durch eine Dienstreise nach Derby war ich in dem Hotel. Das Hotel ist relativ neu und die Zimmerausstattung ist ok. Auch der Barbereich ist sehr nett hergerichtet. Das Frühstück war ok, aber auch nicht überwältigend. Allerdings sind die Zimmer nur bedingt ruhig. Mein Zimmer lag Richtung Bahn und man hörte selbst durch das geschlossene Fenster die Dieselmotoren der Züge, was eher an der Qualität der Fenster als an den Zügen liegt. Dazu kommt, daß nicht jeden Tag die Zimmer gereinigt und die Betten gemacht werden. Hier hat man wohl in der Covidphase aufgrund Covid den Service eingestellt und dann die Einsparung beibehalten. Dazu kommt, daß fast 290 Euro für 2 Nächte inkl Frühstück nicht als günstig empfinde, wenn man weiss, was für Hotels man dafür in anderen Ländern bekommt.

Gegenüber dem Derby-Bahnhof, wenn der Zug noch bequemer ist. Günstig gelegen, weniger als zehn Minuten zu Fuß von der Derby Mall entfernt. Es gibt Restaurants neben dem Bahnhof und Hamburg. Gebuchtes Zweibettzimmer mit kleinem Raum. Da es sich um ein altes Gebäude handelt, kann es anscheinend nicht zu stark dekoriert werden, was schlimmer ist.

Needed convenient stopping point from Surrey to Chestefield, one night, for a funeral. Location ideal. Despite proximity to M1 itself, road noise was not excessive. Receptionist was really welcoming; gave me a choccie bar and bottle of water. You can stroll to the services for Mcdonald's or Costa - and WH Smith etc, (if open). . The overall decor is a bit 'tired' but everything was clean, bed fresh, coffee/tea facilities. Would have preferred the radio to be fitted by the bedside not table across the room (!). Freeview TV quite adequate for one night........ Bedroom was huge (guess it would double up as a family room at times) - and possibly I could have taken my dog with me, in which case the extra space was great. For functionality cannot fault.

Came to this hotel for 2 nights to visit the area before attending a wedding reception in Derby. It was beautiful in every way. The room was lovely, the staff were friendly, the hotel itself was beautiful and the gardens were outstanding. The hotel kindly let us keep the room a bit longer on our departure day, even though they were themselves hosting a wedding. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and breakfast both mornings and the food was amazing. Both food and wine were surprisingly reasonably priced as was the stay itself. We were able to walk to Matlock Bath and the Heights of Abraham, so no need to use the car. I'd highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Schöne Aufenthalt vom Donnerstag bis Montag. Das Hotel war wunderschön und das Personal konnte nicht hilfreicher sein, insbesondere Theresa und Jose. Das Essen war hervorragend mit viel Auswahl. Großer Schwimmbad auch. Ich empfehle sehr einen Aufenthalt hier mit vielen Attraktionen in der Nähe.

We stayed in the promonarde rooms two adults and two children. You would never thought we was staying in a shipping container very quiet, very clean even the edges of the carpet was hoovers smelt lovely when we walked into the room. Compact be great fun in our room was shower , small tv, hairdryer, tea and cover . 10metre along was another room that contained toaster, microwave, full sink with washing up liquid kitchen . Just up the steps was hotel reception and entertainment room for children did activities at night like kids disco, games room free football table, and Lego table . Above reception is a restaurant though we didn’t eat in there looked nice. We went to the local pub called the fishpond great food and bands on at the weekend. We had two nights first day went round the Gulliver’s park second day we went to heights of Abraham . This place is great for kids we did look at the other rooms but found you got more outdoor space on the promonarde room ie could sit and watch the kids play. There is also a bus you can sleep on that looked great fun too .

I booked this hotel for my father and I as we had a very early morning appointment at the Royal Derby and we travelled far afield. I needed a room for him which had a low-step shower cubicle, Premier Inn & Travelodge didn't offer these options for their rooms nearby. So I chose ibis as a reasonable alternative, the welcome and check-in was smooth and professional, the room was snug and small, but suitable for a one night stay I thought. The bathroom was perfect, as was the in room TV. As with any hotel, one of the key integral factors for a stay is the comfort and quality of the beds. I was so disappointed with the poor quality of the beds, the mattress was not a proper mattress and was approximately 3” thick, it was hard and unbearable. I had to fold my duvet in half and sleep on top of it to reduce the discomfort, as did my father. I got about 3 hours sleep due to the discomfort and unpleasant condition of the bed. I had back ache and shoulder aches the next day, which wasn't expected. My elderly father was worse for wear also. The breakfast buffet was faultless with a good selection available and fresh food. We won't stay in an ibis again, it was our first time staying in an ibis, its been 3 days since my booking ended and we've not been offered a chance to review our stay formally, nor can I see any way to claim a full or partial refund for a very poor quality overnight stay. I would caution anyone on booking here, as the bed quality is really poor and lacks any form of comfort whatsoever. I cannot fault the staff, the cleanliness of the room and hotel, nor can I fault the bathroom which had a spacious shower cubicle. It's a shame the company hasn't invested in the most essential item in any hotel... the beds!
