But you should definitely have a car to get to and from the villa and the rest of Amami's restaurants, super markets and all the other spots. The bathroom was also mind blowingly gorgeous. The view from the window wall is something that will truly be unforgettable and all the staff are very kind. 10/10 no question. Absolutely incredible."

"Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und komfortabel. Es gibt einen Freien Pool, der die Landschaft des Meeres erreichbar ist, und einen großen öffentlichen Pool. Aber ich habe in einem Restaurant frisches Kartoffeln gegessen, aber ich dachte, die schwarze Kartoffeln waren sehr mager, die Kleidung war sehr fettig, der Kartoffel hatte keine Gewürze, so dass es nicht lecker ist, ich denke, es ist nicht den Preis von 2200 yen wert... eine große Menge, aber enttäuschend. Das Personal der Rezeption ist auch sehr besorgt, weil es niemand ist, wenn es gefroren wird, vielleicht weil es keine Arbeitskräfte gibt, aber es wartete. Ich wollte bleiben, wenn ich es bezahle."

"The room was VERY small. But everything I needed was there: good internet, air conditioning, fridge, ... As always in Japan, very helpful staff. Ofuro small but totally OK. The breakfast was extensive, more than I needed, but I've had better quality in Japan. But everything was OK for me. Overall, very good value for money. I would go back anytime. Recommended for anyone who wants to travel on a low budget (like me). I didn't miss anything (except a bit more space)"

"I book this villa for its outdoor jacuzzi, but turns out that the jacuzzi does not work!! I contacted the hotel email and received no reply for my 2-night stay. The shower hose on the jacuzzi tub got only the shower head without the tube, and so the "jacuzzi" renders to a big bath tub, which of course makes a difference to having a real jacuzzi. The location is also quite remote. The hotel is situated inbetween pieces of land where the locals pay tribute to their ancestors (you get what I am referring to). Personally I am fine with that, but nonetheless want to point out for prospective guests to take note. I have rented a car to get to the hotel on its GPS. I am not sure if its remoteness makes the car unable to arrive at the hotel on its GPS resulting in me going back to the car rental seeking for help. If it is not for a local staff there to take me to the hotel, I probably won't be able to arrive at the hotel relying on GPS (note that the car's GPS is fine getting to other places on Amami Island, just unable to locate the hotel). Apart from the above, the hotel is as described per her other facilities (except of course the jacuzzi). It is clean too. Still, I would not book it again."

"It was located in the suburbs, within walking distance to Naze, the center of Amami City. I rented a car at Amami Airport and visited by car. It was a little far away, but there was also a parking lot. The owner and his wife were kind and thought about a travel plan. We also introduced the restaurant for dinner and made a reservation. Breakfast was handmade and the chicken rice was especially delicious. The bath and room were like a rural house, but I was able to stay calm. Since it is a guest house, unlike the hotel, I think that few people care about the interior and scenery of the room, but it is recommended if it is a tourist main."

"If you don’t speak Japanese or have a car, do not stay here. The taxi driver had no idea where it was and no signs when I got there. It is very ramshackle and messy, with little indication of where to go for the cottage. 5 mins to the beautiful Tomari beach and there is a restaurant. The locals took me to a festival which was fabulous, but other than that I didn’t see a soul for two days."
