Hotels mit Frühstück in Alvor

Nach zwanzig Jahren wieder einmal hier. Und wieder hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. In Teilen fühlt man sich an die Neunzigerjahre erinnert - für uns macht das einen Teil des Charmes aus. Der Fahrstuhl zum Strand immer noch ein Highlight. Der Blick auf die Bucht großartig. Meerblick zu buchen lohnt sich sehr.

Wir haben 4 Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht und ein Package mit 3 greenfees dazu genommen. Unser Zimmer war eher klein, aber für die kurze Zeit iO. Es ging leider kein deutscher Sender am TV. Die Sauna war auch außer Betrieb. Das Frühstück fand von 7-10 Uhr statt und war vom Angebot her ok. Es gab ein Buffet mit dem üblichen sowie ein paar Extras für englische Gäste und frisch gemachte Eierspeisen auf Bestellung. Parkplätze vor dem Hotel waren genügend vorhanden und wurden nicht extra berechnet. In die City von Alvor läuft man ca 15 min, wir sind abends mit dem Auto rein gefahren um Essen zu gehen, hierfür gab es zahlreiche gute Restaurants und es war viel los. Im Hotel konnte man am HP Buffet teilnehmen, das sollte 30.- ohne Getränke kosten pro Person, haben wir nicht getestet. Die Pestana Golfplätze fanden wir gut. Wir würden nochmal dasselbe buchen, können es also empfehlen. das preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt.

Wir haben fast drei Wochen im Alvor Atlantico Hotel verblieben und empfehlen. Wir hatten einen Studio Superior mit Meerblick. Wir waren im 7. Stock und die Aussicht war absolut schön, wir konnten alle Strand von dem Strand im Atlantida Restaurant bis zum Ende sehen. Es war schön, aufzuwachen. Das Hotel selbst war sehr ruhig, es gibt keine Bar, es gibt einen Innenpool, das wir nicht verwendet haben und es war auch sehr sauber. Das Studio war gut ausgestattet mit einem 2-Ring-Kühlschrank, Kühlschrank und Platten und Geschirr, wir hatten ein Problem mit dem Kochen und dem Kettle, das für uns sortiert wurde, kein Problem. Wir hatten einen regnigen Tag, als wir nicht vorstellen, in Alvor zu gehen, können Sie Abendessen (oder Frühstück) im Dom Joao Hotel buchen, das wir für eine Nacht gemacht haben, es war nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Es war Buffet-Stil, aber es war sehr gut. Es ist eine 20-minütige Spazierfahrt in den Hafen oder Zentrum von Alvor auf der Fahrt, die eine schöne Möglichkeit war, den Abend zu beginnen. Wir werden sicher hier wieder bleiben. Die Betten waren komfortabel, ein wenig hart für meine persönliche Liebe, die Dusche war gut mit viel Druck, so dass alles in allem empfehlen würde.

Pestana Alvor Park in Portimão liegt in Strandnähe, nur 15 Gehminuten von Krankenhaus Alvor und Praia dos Três Irmãos entfernt. Die Zimmer haben eigene Balkone. Ein WLAN-Internetzugang (kostenlos) ist ebenso verfügbar wie Satellitenempfang. Zur Austattung gehören Safes und Schreibtische; die Zimmer werden täglich sauber gemacht.

Die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel und die Reinigung sehr gut. Die Anlage ist gepflegt und ansprechend. Essen in den reservierungspflichtigen Restaurants ist gut. Im carosello empfehlen wir die Pizza vom steinigen. Das Roastic serviert sehr gute Steaks. Im Hauptrestaurant mit buffet sind die Thementage gut umgesetzt. Manchmal ist allerdings das Essen nicht mehr ganz heiß - eher lauwarm. Das Frühstück hat eine sehr große Auswahl an allem, was man sich vorstellen kann. Nach dem dritten Tag fällt die Bedienenung der Kaffeemaschine dann auch leichter. :) In den Stoßzeiten ist temporär das auf- und abdecken verzögert. Der Service an den Bars ist gut. Die Barkeeper*innen gehen auf Wünsche ein und sind sehr bemüht. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist uns hier Reza an der shore bar! Was sich hier definitiv anbietet ist ein Mietauto zu nehmen und die Algave weiter zu erkunden.

Huge improvement in the last few years. We have been coming to Penina for the last 12 years. Just post Covid, the hotel and golf courses were very run down. (Like many hotels so not unique). The recovery to great service now is impressive. The hotel has not been rebuilt or even redecorated but is much ‘fresher’ and a pleasant place to spend your holiday. The Championship Course is much improved and probably only one more season from being back to great condition. The Resort Course is much improved over this year. Four temporary greens whilst the original greens are relaid. Fairways quite good but tee boxes need attention. Having said that, the price to play has been reduced to compensate and the golf staff made sure you understood that the course is having work before you sign up. The par-3 course no longer exists and there seems no sign that it’s coming back. A web search shows the par-3 as still being advertised. The Gym is still an asset. Bit old but good enough for a rounded work out. Now the gem in the crown and the most improved area is in staff attitude, friendliness and helpfulness. Front desk is very welcoming and efficient. Dolores was ever present and helpful. Bar and Henry Cotton staff are likewise, friendly and efficient. Breakfast is great, choice and quality of food has improved from adequate to very good. Someone is clearly on top of the offer and service. Staff quantity increased and all seem happy and helpful. Golf Shop and Caddy Master group are also great and a joy to interact with. Overall, my opinion…. A 5* hotel that is really a 4* hotel with 5*+ staff. Definitely on the right trajectory getting back to its best. The key to the next level of offer is to finish off the Henry Cotton golf course and get the Resort Couse back to great condition.

Die Lage der Beach Villas ist wunderbar, in einer Minute erreicht man den Strand. Alle Mitarbeiterinnen an der Rezeption sind äußerst freundlich und sehr kompetent. Die Reinigung der Appartements passiert sehr zuverlässig und auch die Heizung ist sehr komfortabel. Die Pestana Gruppe bietet unlimited Golf, dies bedeutet, dass fünf Golfplätze inkludiert sind. Ein hervorragendes Angebot für Golfer. Wir waren vier Wochen hier und haben diese sehr genossen. In Alvor gibt es eine große Auswahl an guten Restaurants und Bars. Ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt, um die Algarve zu erkunden . Im Appartement würden wir noch vorschlagen, die Beleuchtung zu verbessern. Wir kommen im nächsten Jahr wieder!

We have just returned for a week at this newly refurbished apart hotel in Alvor, really impressed with this hotel, lovely decor throughout and the rooms were lovely, very quiet at night time so a good sleep is to be hard here. Breakfast is more than adequate and is self service offering continental cuisine and a hot buffet of the usual scramble eggs, bacon, sausage etc, etc. the staff are so friendly and accommodative for all your needs and Ruben and his colleagues who helped out during breakfast and the outside pool bar deserve a special mention 👍. The hotel is Meters away from a local supermarket suitated at the rear of the hotel and equal distance from the heartbeat of Alvor itself. The pool is a decent size and not deep and ideal for young children, but was a bit cold 🥶. We will defo be back, well done to all the staff and management at the hotel 👋👋👋
