Hotel Villa Mantalena

We’re moved to these apartments as ours had overbooked - they booked us in here as they were across the road - assumed we’d get a studio but they out us in an apartment which needed a total upgrade and charged us 75 euros a night which is fine for nice accommodation but this was awful, cracked tikes, rusty bath, kitchen with rusty appliances, with very noisy neighbours - never again and it spoilt out holiday

In 2021 we just had a wonderful two-months stay in Alykanas between June 15 - July 15 and September 1 - September 30 at Villa Mantalena, a pleasant hotel with perfect location: sandy beach, boat rental and water sports at 150m, tourist port at 300m, Alykanas center 300m, horse riding at 50m, bicycle rental at 200m, supermarket at 250m, medical center and pharmacy 400m. The rooms have private bathroom with independent hot water supply, fully equipped kitchen, balcony, flat TV, free air conditioning, safety box and WI-FI. The garden, at the front of the hotel, with large parking, are very nice with many flowers and trees, include a covered patio as a suplimentary space, if you want to relax outside. The owners Tassos and Maria were kind and helpful. The family is absolutely wonderful and makes you feel very welcome. I can't thank Tassos enough for his help in difficult situations, but also for Greek lessons combined with jokes and good cheer. Ευχαριστώ πάρα πολy! I was impressed by the fact that daily all the rooms was cleaned by Maria, even if the rooms were not occupied. The owners also have a Greek restaurant “Mantalena” on the main road. The Mantalena” is a family owened restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and very good food with plenty of choices that include delicious traditional food served by chef Tassos, Maria and Yannis, with smiles and hearts wide open. Every time we return to Villa Mantalena, we feel that we are returning to our second home. I recommend this hotel to the tourists who apreciate more the relationships between people and friendship than other more superficial things in life. In Greece I feel at home, it is a nice country with friendly people, with beautiful traditions and a special history and culture, which I respect very much. We will definitely be back again next summer. Thank you Tassos and Maria for this wonderful holiday!
