GrandStay Hotel & Suites Algona

This was really an amazing hotel in small-town Algona, Iowa. All the employees were friendly, professional, and helpful, from check-in to breakfast. The room was spacious, the bathroom had plenty of towels and nice shampoo, etc., the bed and pillows were very comfortable, it was very quiet, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was excellent with many choices: waffles, eggs, bacon, cereals, pastries, muffins, bagels, English muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, juices, hot coffees and teas, and everything was fresh and well presented. There is also a bar with wines, beers, and mixed drinks available later in the day.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The property was clean and well maintained.

Everything was great. Location, clean restroom and build was clean. The staff was very helpfully. The manger took time for a friendly visit. I recommend this hotel for your stay.

My whole group loved our stay there. The continental breakfast was a very nice surprise.

Not only the first time traveling to Iowa, but the first time staying with Grand Stay. I have to say that compared to Hilton Hotels we stay in when we travel, Grand Stay easily rivaled Hilton in all aspects. We had a King Suite with a tub, which my wife thoroughly enjoyed. And here’s the thing……. the great amenities, the King Suite, the truly lovely facility, and the very friendly staff, you’d expect to pay more than we did. And we didn’t; we paid about as much as we would for a night in a good hotel chain with a double Queen bed. And with no “club memberships”. Fantastic !!!

Most things were great with the main downfall being an empty shower gel container and no backup Kleenex for a multiple night stay. Otherwise it was great.

The room was very clean. Plenty of parking space. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

Hotel was very nice & clean. The hot tub was like a warm bath tub; not good.
