Das Zimmer ist groß genug, aber selbst im Sommer ist das Haus kalt, aber es ist die Beziehung in Schottland. Das Hotel ist nicht gut, die oberen Leute laufen hörbar, die Umgebung ist gut, das Essen ist nur das Hotel, das sie mitnehmen. Es ist besser, ein Date zu buchen, sonst warten Sie.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt, absolut phänomenale Lebensmittel und große Auswahl an alkoholischen Getränken. Wird sicher wieder in diese Einrichtung. Gestern am Loch mit einem Bier und Wein zu sehen, was ein schöner Ort es wirklich ist.

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Hotel, das Zimmer ist groß, die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, sehr viel Glück, wir werden dem G-Stock-Zimmer zugeteilt. Das Frühstück ist auch gut, es gibt verschiedene Noten von 8,89-13,89 fetten Leuten nach ihrem Lieblingspunkt. Das Parken ist ebenfalls kostenlos, das Hotel hat eine übergroße BAR, und am Nachmittag sind alle Leute. Nicht weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt können Sie zu Fuß gehen.

Wir waren für zwei Nächte im Abbotsford Hotel untergebracht. Das Zimmer war klein und für zwei Männer teilweise etwas eng, dennoch völlig ausreichend. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für das Badezimmer. Es war klein, schlecht belüftet und die Dusche hat ein lautes Fiepen bei warmen Wassertemperaturen von sich gegeben, welches man sicherlich auch im nächsten Zimmer noch gehört hat. Wir hatten kein Frühstück gebucht, haben aber beim Check-In ein Angebot für 6,50 GBP p.P. erhalten und dieses gerne angenommen. Das stellte sich als gute Wahl heraus. Zum Frühstück bekommt man Kaffee und Tee mit Refill, man wählt beim Essen zwischen verschiedenen Frühstücken. Von Pancakes über Porridge bis hin zum traditionellen schottischen Frühstück war alles dabei. Auch der Pub ist für den ein oder anderen Schlaftrunk sehr zu empfehlen und wird auch von den Locals aufgesucht. Die Lage des Hotels ist praktisch an der Schnellstraße gelegen, welche einen schnell ins Gebirge und Loch bringt. Außerdem erreicht man von hier fußläufig das Dumbarton Castle und die Innenstadt. Unterm Strich kann ich das Hotel für einen Aufenthalt empfehlen.

We booked a weekend break with a view to staying an extra night however, we couldn’t escape quick enough. I tried to call the spa to book a spa day for my hubby and I and each time the phone range and cut off! So no spa could be booked. Let down number one! Upon arrival I checked in and was told the bill was £540?? £440 for the room and £50 per room per night “incidentals” on my card. Not a problem but why not say this instead of just expecting us to know. Let down number two! I mentioned about the spa, there was no apology and was asked if I wanted to book in there, nope that ship unfortunately had sailed. The room was spacious and comfortable enough with everything you needed, I would have expected a coffee pod machine for the price of the stay but instead a kettle and instant coffee it was, this need addressing, I understand they’re undergoing refurbishment which is fine, but let people know and price rooms accordingly. As the room looked tired with peeling wallpaper etc. The breakfast was a huge let down…. (We stayed 6 years previously and the breakfast was cooked to order!) it was on a par with a toby carvery breakfast! The station was tucked into a corner of the room so that if one person was helping themselves, nobody else could get in, leading to it being very awkward to navigate! The coffee was terrible. Not what you expect from a 5 start hotel! That was faux pas three at this point. After breakfast, We decided to check out to spa area. We walked down in our slippers and robes and was met by a young brunette girl and very rude blonde woman, who were deep in conversation about another member of staff. They didn’t stop their conversation for us but did for another woman arrived after us. After she had finished dealing with this lady she didn’t even look at us and just grunted sign in there. There was no direction as to where anything was. No warm smile or any sort of customer service! After making use of the pool and sauna we decided we’d like to sit in the jacuzzi outside…… we were just about to walk in and a young brunette girl said no you can’t go in there!!! I said I’m sorry? She said you aren’t allowed in there at 10.30am as they hold the area to “paying spa guests only” and if we wanted to go in we could after 6pm, This is where I decided to put her straight regarding the failed phone calls to book said spa and that they’d missed out on £324 for the two of us because they couldn’t be bothered to answer nor could they show us the time of day when we arrived at the reception! The attitude of both these women was unacceptable and disgusting!!! Definitely not the attitude to have when dealing with “paying” hotel guests. We weren’t staying a third night and upon check out I noticed 10% gratuities had been added to our bill! I’m not sure why, nobody served us at a table, we had to frequent the bar and carry them ourselves to our table! I couldn’t order room service from the bar this was an issue for some reason! We booked this as we knew our flight home to Glasgow Airport was landing late and we could not face the long drive home at such a time. By the time we cleared with our bags and walked to the hotel from the terminal it was 2am when we checked in. Unfortunately we were given room 115, which was opposite the elevators on the first floor. It was also not only an accessible room with wet bathroom (no shower unless you wanted to flood the whole room) but also had a ”connecting” door to the next room. No idea who was on the either side, but not ideal for either of us given our late arrival. I was feeling extremely tired and and went straight to my bed - unfortunately it was far too soft and it was a double, so we tended to fall into the middle where the ”hole” or ”dip” in the mattress was. With us both trying to sleep on the outside of the mattress for comfort we continually pulled the small duvet from each other in an attempt to keep warm after our return from Africa. The pillows were also too soft for my liking, however that was minor compared to the mattress. There hours later, at around 5am the corridor started coming alive with excited children heading off on their holidays, running and squealing, literally!! I can't blame them for being enthusiastic, but perhaps their parents might have understood that some guests might still wish to sleep at that time? Thus our morning continued so when we finally dragged ourselves up for breakfast around 9am I was extremely tired and somewhat grumpy... Now to breakfast; a fairly good selection was on offer if you came at a quiet time. I saw some guests leave towards the end our meal time as they did not want to wait in the queue for what was left. My main gripe about the breakfast was again, not the hotel's fault, but the guests, who presumably are not used to staying in hotels and don't know what swerving utensils are for. I saw one female guest pick up and touch several slices of bread and returning them before picking what she put in the toaster machine. I purposely picked a slice she hadn't pawed and waited whilst it went through the machine, then just as it arrived a young man (her son I believe) whisked it away in front of me. Manners non existent. The breakfast staff were helpful and friendly and the food on offer was perfectly adequate if all the guests knew how to behave. All in all, we picked this hotel for a catch up sleep after a late flight in and we didn't achieve that so we will not be back.

Meine Frau und ich planen eine Nacht in Glasgow für unsere Freunde zum 40. Geburtstag und buchen dieses Hotel für die Nacht. Ich muss sagen, dieses Hotel war nicht, was ich erwartet hatte, die Front der Hausangestellten waren wirklich freundlich und professionell, aber dass der Manager muss lernen, dass sie in ihrer Position ist wegen der Kunden und sie sollte lernen, mit dem Kunden in einem mehr zu sprechen professioneller Art. In 10 Minuten, während wir ins Check-in waren, sahen wir beide, dass sie 4 verschiedene Kunden unachtsam war. DAS BAR und RESTAURANT Die Auswahl der Getränke war ok, aber es gab keinen Biervorschlag. Sie hatten auch Cocktails im Kühlschrank, aber der Barkeeper weigerte sich, uns irgendetwas zu verkaufen, weil die Verwaltung ihn nicht erlaubte, das zu tun. Wir bezahlten für das Frühstück und sie hatten eine Wahl für kontinentales oder heißes Frühstück. Das Frühstück war der beste Teil des Aufenthalts. Das Zimmer war sehr einfach. Es hatte ein kleines TV mit Standard-Frei-Kanälen. Das Problem, das ich mit dem Zimmer hatte, war die Mitarbeiter nur 1 Handtuch im Badezimmer platzieren. Wenn es 2 Personen gibt, die bleiben sollte es die Politik, dass Sie 2 Handtücher. Ich kann dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen, bis diese Fragen behoben sind und ich nicht zurückkommen.

Mein Sohn (Erwachsener) und ich blieben hier, weil wir Abendkarten im OVO Hydro hatten. Wir hatten Zimmer 414 im vierten Stock - es gibt 3 Aufzüge. 414 hat ein Doppelbett und ein Einzelbett. Das Zimmer ist eine gute Größe und war sauber. Das Hotel ist in einer berufsmäßigen Lage, aber wir hatten kein Problem mit Lärm und beide schliefen gut. In der Tat ist die Lage wirklich gut - direkt vom Bahnhof, Fußgänger-Shoppingplatz und vom Clyde - auch nur etwa 20 Minuten zu Fuß zum OVO Hydro. Die Dusche war gut und das Buffet Frühstück hatte eine gute Auswahl. Ich denke, was dieses Hotel macht aber ist das Personal - ein freundlicher Willkommen bei der Ankunft und jederzeit ankommen.

Das Parklands Hotel & Country Club ist ein verstecktes Geschirr. Von dem Moment, als wir in das Hotel eingestiegen waren, war es gut dekoriert, da uns eine Hochzeitsvibe. Das Hochzeitsgebiet für Zeremonie und Abendreception gab Ihnen einen Überblick über die Arbeit des großen Tages. Es ist sehr gut strukturiert und gedacht, so dass es gut fließt und kein Kreuz über mit Gästen im Hotel bleiben. Die Umgebung hat viel Platz für Hochzeitsfotos/Videos wie eine Nähe durch Wälder, offenes Gras und der Ballon am oberen Rand des Hotels für diese erstaunlichen Fotomöglichkeiten. Jennifer (Veranstaltungsmanager) ist ein unglaublicher Koordinator bei Hochzeiten. Wir trafen sie 3/4 Mal im ganzen Jahr, um sicherzustellen, dass alles auf der Spur war und wenn etwas getan oder geändert werden musste. Am Tag, an dem sie meine Frau und ich mich so entspannt fühlte, sicher, dass wir den Tag mit Freunden und Familie genossen. Wenn es irgendwelche Probleme am Tag gab, war ich nicht bewusst, weil Jennifer alles behandeln. Personal den ganzen Tag nicht genug für uns tun konnte. Sie schauten nach allen Gästen und wenn wir etwas zusätzlich brauchen, würden sie sicher, es zu bekommen. Wir hatten sogar einen Besuch des Besitzers von Parklands, der ich sehr erniedrigend fand und schätzte, Zeit zu nehmen, um uns zu sehen. Das Essen war lecker, nicht nur am Tag, aber wir besuchten das Restaurant ein paar Mal vor der Hochzeit. Ich empfehle, zu Abend zu gehen, um zu sehen, wie gut der Bierkuchen ist. Wir besuchten Hochzeitsräume von Greenock bis East Kilbride und Parklands kamen am oberen Rand. Der Wert für Geld für eine volle Hochzeit (90 Menschen für uns) ist erstaunlich. Das ist von ihnen organisieren, planen, das Aussehen, großartiges Essen, professionelles Personal und eine stresslose Erfahrung für meine Frau und ich. Ich empfehle, eins zu gehen für einen Blick und Chat, das alles, was es dauerte, um zu wissen, war der Ort für uns. Danke Parklands für den unvergesslichen Hochzeitstag. Herr & Frau Grassie
