Wow. Our W Algarve stay was amazing beyond words. Before arriving at the hotel, I had been communicating with the staff regarding specifics of our stay, all of which were easily accommodated and the staff was super helpful. We had requested a private beach wedding during our stay and the hotel connected us with an amazing event planner (Gold and Blue Events). From the moment we pulled up to the doors, we were amazed by the beauty of the hotel; modern, artistic, and vibrant. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne, and Bianca at the front desk made us feel like we had known her forever. We were given a tour of the beautiful hotel room, all of which have a view of the ocean and the beautiful grounds. The rooms have a fun vibe with the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in (also available for purchase). The hotel also boasts an eco-friendly approach and decor to match the beauty and origins of the Algarve. The rooms include top of the line bath and body products by Davines, which smell amazing and refreshing. Unfortunately, we did not have an opportunity to enjoy any spa services, but if you choose to do so, you gain all day access to their spa facilities including the sauna, hot tub, and other amenities. They also have a state of the art gym facility which we enjoyed using every day, including spin bikes on an outdoor deck overlooking the grounds and the ocean in the background. The pools are beautiful but can be cold as they do not use heaters (for sustainability purposes) however, it was quite hot during our stay and the pool temps were very refreshing. The food at the hotel was excellent. We did not eat at the restaurants for dinner as we preferred to try more local eats, but we enjoyed delicious breakfast at Market Kitchen every morning; they had a beautiful spread with a variety of foods including an egg station where they made eggs and omelettes to order. They also made pretty much any type of coffee you could ask for, including American coffee, cappuccino, lattes, and macchiatos (all hot or iced). They even offered champagne and mimosas as part of the breakfast service. The food at Sip@Wet (the pool bar/restaurant) was phenomenal as well. The Wet deck offers iced water at the towel stations and poolside service all day long. For those of you who do not know what to expect from a high class hotel like the W Algarve - drinks are not cheap. As long as you have that expectation going into your stay, there is little that can go wrong here. The last night of our stay we enjoyed a live DJ at Air, which is the hotel's outdoor event space overlooking the ocean, which was a lot of fun. The most memorable part of the vacation was, of course, our private beach wedding. Although the hotel did not set up the event for us, they were an integral part of the planning and execution process. Lily A, one of the 'W Insiders', went above and beyond for us and I am forever grateful to all she did to make this day extra special for us. The beach wed
