Fantastic hotel and location

À primeira vista, melhor do que esperava, no entanto, com o decorrer da estadia encontramos pontos negativos: o tempo de espera na recepção é de loucos, parece um serviço público português. Não é admissível que com tantos hóspedes haja apenas uma pessoa a atender de cada vez... O jacuzzi do hotel, que está incluído no preço, tem a água gelada e so fumcionam 2 saídas de ar. Logo, é quase impossível la estar. Bonito mas sem utilidade... No SPA que é pago, há tb aspetos a melhorar por isso mesmo, porque ao ser pago e dentro de um 4 estrelas, não pode ter portas a arrastar pelo chão, por exemplo, como tem no wc das mulheres. Tb existem portas de segurança que não abrem nas barras o que é muito estranho e mais estranho ainda é não haver equipamento de segurança na cozinha como extintor ou manta uma vez que tem fogão. No entanto, a remodelação foi bem conseguida e espero que estes aspectos sejam rapidamente melhorados porque queria regressar ao hotel.

I had conducted a lot of research on the internet before choosing this hotel. I was looking for somewhere that was close to the action but also had some amenities and different kinds of room options. I was delighted with the hotel it, it was absolutely perfect for my son and I. there was an awesome vibe around the pool during the day and the animation team were excellent. Everywhere was immaculately clean. The majority of staff were friendly and helpful, the spa lady never smiled but but that just made me be even more friendly to her. Giovanna was a standout member of staff as were the animation team. Rooms were exceptionally quiet although every guest without exception seemed to let their door bang rather than pull it gently behind them! The food was fresh and very varied. as with any all inclusive, it can be repetitive but that's the nature of all inclusive. We dined at the Al a carte restaurant one evening and only had to pay for our drinks as we were there for seven days. the hotel mini bus to the Old Town is excellent and a good service. the night receptionist was exceptionally helpful to us when we had a problem with our transfer and helped us to resolve it with a taxi to the airport. Deposits for room breakages and towels were no issue and re funded immediately with the receipt. If you were relying on the hotel for evening entertainment, you might be disappointed. I think it is hard to cater for all nationalities and age groups no matter how hard the team try. If you are a coffee lover you may also be disappointed as the cups are tiny and not available at lunch or dinner. The gym is payable locally which was annoying and it didn't open until 10 am . I just made use of the pool instead and went for a long walks to the beach. Extra sunbeds were available at the side of the hotel so never had a problem getting a bed. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Where do I start. . . The bright reception, the smiling faces, the rooms the food it was all exquisite. Myself and my daughter visited here for a 3 night stay in July and loved every minute of it. The weather was beautiful too. Ample choice of foods to suit everyone and the rooms were quiet, clean and just what was needed. I will definitely be back.

I'll start by saying this review is long, but it is realistic. There are some "issues" but nothing worthy of less than 5 stars. Skip to the end for a pros and cons summary. The hotel is spotless. Rooms clean and furnished nicely. Pool area hosed down daily and skimmed throughout the day when the wind blows leaves in. Plates and glasses cleared quickly in the restaurant and bar - the staff are so attentive but you never feel like they're rushing you. If you're in the restaurant at the end of meal times, someone will approach you to ask if you'd like to grab anything else before they remove the food - such a simple touch, yet most hotels are too eager to kick you out. All the staff are so friendly and it never seems insincere. The animation team work tirelessly day and night, encouraging you to join in but also giving you space when you need it. They even offer to help you move your sun lounger. We were there at a quieter time of year it seemed. I would be concerned about the amount of sun loungers during school holidays; the pool area is quite small. We managed to find beds whatever time we arrived, but there is definitely a problem with people reserving them - we lay down at 1:30pm and the beds next to us weren't occupied until 4:30pm, despite having towels on them. I did witness guests removing towels and there wasn't any confrontation, but staff should really be monitoring this. The main problem with the pool area is the giant parasols: they cover 80% of the sun loungers, and one side of the pool doesn't see sun til early afternoon, so if you want to catch some rays, you'll need fight for them. We always found something to eat, but I will admit they had some odd salads - kiwi and pineapple often found their way in - but this is obviously to reduce waste a repurpose foods, and they do have a salad bar where you can choose your own ingredients. If you are vegetarian, you will struggle. If you are vegan, maybe avoid. We are lucky to have no dietary restrictions, and always had full plates of delicious food. Despite the hotel having a kids club and an excellent animation team, if you have a fussy eater, it might be a struggle at meal times: no usual "kids station" with nuggets, but there was pizza and chips every lunch and dinner, so you could definitely get by. There was another station that wasn't in operation when we were there mid June, so that could present other options. All inclusive snacks were fine - burgers, chips, ham, cheese, fruit salad, yoghurt, pastries. They were self serve and I feel they were not refilled as often as they could have been, especially the pastries. On the topic of self serve: all drinks outside of meal times are bar service only (except water). Most all inclusive hotels have beer and soft drinks for guests to help themselves, so that's a shame. Please don't scroll down and read any negative reviews. Our stay was excellent! The hotel is perfectly located. Down a quiet road, within an easy 5 -10 min walk to the main *****.. with a few restaurants and shops along the way .aldi a 5 min walk. The hotel was exceptionally clean, staff were constantly cleaning: lobby, poolside, bar areas, garden etc..all staff polite, helpful and friendly. The room , a 1 bed apt had a lovely pool view, spacious bedroom and sitting room.. large balcony and kitchenette.. towels changed , bin emptied when necessary. Plenty of sun beds when we stayed . Fuly agree with the 100 euro deposit on room. The all inclusive package was fantastic..yes you can only get 2 drinks at a time, even soft drinks, but so what..just go twice...there were 3 of us, no problem just to pop back to the table and back to the bar. Quick service, rarely a queue.. poolside bar good. The food, wow! Soon much choice ... massive selection at breakfast, everything could think of. Fresh and tasty...at lunch , again you didn't know what to choose first. Huge selection of fresh salads, and a lovely choice of meats, fish etc... soup, breads, chef cooking and kids section with fresh pizza cooking, chips etc. Wine and beer on tap along with soft drinks.. evening meal was the same! Superb! The entertainment team work hard all day...so friendly with a wide range of activities throughout the day and evening for kids and adults: quizzes, dance, craft etc..we watched 2 great piano acts in the evening, a cabaret show, traditional folk dancing..and a karaoke night . The cabaret and karaoke were in a separate room if guests didn't want to watch. This is a wonderful hotel, and can't believe any of these negative reviews. Would love to come back again..

My wife and son found this great hotel here now really enjoying my stay. Food is good quality hotel is very clean. room is very clean and modern. pool is cold but very refreshing. All the staff are great stayed on the second level not with a pool view but happy with the balcony. Bit of walk to beach but bus goes to old town and transport is a nice minibus having a great relaxing time .not really noticed the entertainment as been going out in evenings, here having a great time

I’ve just come back from a short 5day trip. I had booked this trip for my husband’s 30th birthday and we had such an awful experience with this hotel. Once arriving at the hotel we were excited to check in and start our holiday. The woman at reception didn’t even make eye contact with me after I had approached her and said hello. I asked if I was able to check in and she replied with ‘what’s the name’ still looking down. If you are working in a hotel that’s being booked by tourists I’m sure you are expected to be some what friendly and lively when people approach you. Once I had checked in she handed me the key with no direction to the room and no information about what our package included Eg. Time of the all inclusive meals, where things were, entertainment etc We had paid extra for a pool view suite and let me tell you that we had a corner of the pool view as half the view was obstructed by the building below. When we pointed this out the hotel staff once again were completely unhelpful and told us that they couldn’t do anything so we just left it. The second evening we asked now a different woman who was on reception if she could recommend anywhere local for us to go as a family to walk and eat she recommended nothing just shrugged her shoulders. 3rd night we stayed at the hotel. 4th night my husband approached a male employee who was by the reception this time and asked him if he could recommend anywhere nice for us to go walk and eat. FINALLY he recommended a place about 10mins away with endless food options and street entertainment. We really enjoyed that last night. It’s a shame we didn’t come across this man sooner as the women were so unhelpful and miserable. Food- was ok not much variety on a day to day basis normally the same stuff served everyday. However they do have a lot to choose from. Restaurant staff- great super friendly and really on-top of everything to get people seated as fast as possible. Entertainment- again was ok not great as the kids entertainment was not what i expected and the adult entertainment also lacked a lot of life. Entertainment staff- friendly Hotel overall was clean and the cleaning staff were so amazing! They were very friendly and helpful. We had ants in our room however one of the miserable receptionist told us that they were in every room and not harmful. Overall it wasn’t a bad hotel. If it wasn’t for the EXTREMELY MISERABLE WOMAN working behind the reception I think this would have been a better experience for us.

We arrived back from Portugal yesterday evening. We had read a few negative reviews before we went, so were a little worried about what we had let ourselves in for. We needn’t of worried Albufeira Sol hotel and spa was amazing Rooms were lovely my hubby and I shared and our grown up children shared. Room contain a little kitchen complete with kettle. microwave, hob and a fridge. There was a bedroom with a large bed and lots of storage space. The batroom had a massive shower, toilet and and sink also a hairdryer. You got fresh towels and the bed was made daily. There was also a settee and a table with 2 chair. On the balcony there was also a table and chairs. The food at the hotel was plentiful at all times. If like me you like fruit, there was fresh fruit daily at every meal. Every day meals were varied but there was always stuff for my very fussy son. Drinks were plentiful although you could only get 2 drinks at a time which wasn’t a problem as you could go up to the bar as often as you wanted. We never had to queue for the restaurant or bar. The entertainment was great too The entertainment team worked so hard and like some places they were not pushy leaving you be if you did not want to join in. Also there was a lovely little shop which sold inflatables, crisps, sun cream, biscuits, souvenirs and other essentials if you didn’t want to venture out. We did have to pay a 100 euro deposit per room but this was handed back at checkout if paid in cash. Card I believe takes 7 days. At the spa you could hire towels for 20 euro deposit each towel but that saved ruining your own towels with sun cream and you could change daily All in all a fab time was had by us all
