Soviva hotel On arrival the receptionist wasn’t welcoming. We arrived early and waited for our room, the facilities in the hotel were not explained and there were no directions given to where the restaurant, bar or other amenities were. Got to our room and there were no towels, had to request these three times until I bumped into the lovely manager Moaz who was very helpful and got them for us immediately. The lobby is very nice and modern the rooms and hallways are very outdated. The carpet is dirty and the rooms have no plugs for charging ports only charging port is in the bathroom and for the tv. Our room had no fridge again Moaz rectified this for us immediately. There are no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms. As we weren’t told by reception that we had reserve seating in the dining area we queued. It wasn’t until the second night we realised we had reservation access and should be served when dining for breakfast lunch and dinner. The entertainment staff are extremely helpful and work very hard they were the best part of the hotel!!!. Always ensuring we were ok and had what we needed they even took us into the town free of charge to the local markets and ensured our safety. If you need anything ask for Willy and any member of his team their service is outstanding always going above and beyond. Please tip the entertainment team!! The bar staff are very polite and hospitable. Each time I went to reception the receptionists were very impatient, abrupt and rude. None of them smiled or greeted you and allowed others to interrupt your conversation. The waiters in the restaurant that service the reservation section are very nice and helpful they work very hard please tip them. If you are part of the reservation area you can ask for something specific such as fries, nuggets, burgers etc if you do not like the local cuisine. The salads and desert were good, they leave bread out which just attracts flies and they do not cover the food over to prevent contamination from the flies. The pizza is left on the side, and not covered over to protect from flies. Our room was cleaned to a very good standard each day. Please tip the housekeepers they do a great job! The spa wasn’t what it cracked up to be I paid for a hamman and a lymphatic massage it’s was nothing like described and everything short of a hamman if you’ve been to Turkey and had an authentic one you will know. There was no steam room before hand, the massage therapist left me for 10 minutes, I wasn’t sure what was going on and got cold! Then she came back and I had to scrub myself down, they are supposed to do this for you! The massage, it felt like all she did was rub oil in. The lymphatic massage again all she did was rub the oil in and didn’t touch my lymphatic points. If you want a massage go to the main road there is a spa near the shop. The WiFi is terrible for such a large hotel wifi only works in reception. WiFi boosters need to be on each floor of the hotel. For an
