A beautifully clean, well maintained, hotel with excellent facilities and thoughtful amenities. As a solo traveller, the bathroom was perfect but may prove small for those travelling in larger groups as the idea perhaps is to utilise the excellent onsen on the eleventh floor rather than bathe in one’s room. As such the bathroom consists of just a shower and a toilet, though the shower does include a stool which may be beneficial for elderly ladies and gentlemen or for those with health issues. There are microwaves available, as well as downstairs vending machines with frozen meals if one does not wish to leave the hotel to eat perhaps late at night. There are also washing machines and driers available on the third and eleventh floors, at time of writing, which is mightily helpful for those travelling light-do ensure that you have 100 yen change for the machines.
A small matter that may be confounding for some, especially tired after a long day, the hotel is directly adjacent to another and to reach the front desk one must take the elevator up a floor from the entrance area-look for the button marked LB.
Especial gratitude to the very kind and helpful staff who were most accommodating despite the language barrier.
The attached photos are the view from the ninth floor and the park you’ll walk by, or though, enroute to the hotel-you can’t miss the Quintessa sign and the twenty minute walk is pretty much straight from the station. Enjoy your stay.
