Nobelos Seaside Lodge

Arrogant and haughty people. poor food. rough persons. The beach is beautiful but until Nobelos will manage this place, this place will remain low-grade and pretentious but expensive…. without reasons!. Good to be superb if you have reasons, otherwise is better be humble, above all if you are owner of an humble place.

I have been to Greece some dozen times and visited as many islands during those visits. I can honestly say, that the super-cool, family-run Nobelos Seaside Lodge and its Bio Restaurant is one of the best places Greece has to offer. - The service is slick and professional with nothing being too much trouble. Genuine smiles on all the team's faces. - The food is outstanding and presented with a modern twist. - The onsite boutique stocked a little something for everyone. - The gelato bar was perfect and frequently daily by my crew. - The eclectic decor in the rooms may not suit all tastes and not all rooms are equal, so could be a little more hit and miss. - It is a couple of stones throws from the small port town of Agios Nicolas which has some interesting activities (eg kayak and boat hire) and well as other eating options. - THEN there the setting that is completely unbeatable. Oozing with quaintness and old-school Greek charm , this property set amongst ever-green pine trees on a gorgeous white stoned beach is shared with a few obligatory barnyard animals. The incredible Mediterranean water here is warm, clean, clear and calm and its hues evolve with the cycling sun. Do visit quick, as I have a strong hunch that this rather undeveloped slice of paradise in northern Zakynthos will reach the the ears of a greater number of tourists and be part of a well-beaten island path.

A breve distanza dal porto di San Nicolao, a nord di Zacinto, abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante incantevole, con tavoli interamente all’aperto su una terrazza all’ombra di pini secolari e prospicienti una caletta con acqua cristallina. Il menù, prevalentemente di pesce fresco, è vario, con spunti creativi. Il personale estremamente preparato e attento, letteralmente coccola il cliente. Abbiamo ordinato del pesce fresco cotto alla griglia che ci è stato servito con contorni buoni e fuori dai tipici che tutti i ristoranti greci offrono. Alla fine il conto sicuramente era più in linea con quelli di un ristorante italiano di livello medio-alto, ma vi assicuro che la location vale quel quid in più. Possibilità di lettini e ombrelloni nella caletta davanti al ristorante Se vi spingete nella parte nord dell’isola, selvaggia e incontaminata, vale la pena provare questo locale.

Met vrienden een drankje willen doen en zeer ongastvrij ontvangen. Mooie plek maar niet vriendelijk ontvangen. We kwamen aan en werden tegengehouden door personeel en konden geen plek uitkiezen waar we wilden zitten terwijl er overal plek was. Kindvriendelijk.
