Herzlicher Empfang. Welcome-Cocktail auf der Terrasse mit atemberaubender Aussicht auf das Meer und die Nachbarinseln. Wunderschöne und geräumige Zimmer. Ganze Anlage sehr gepflegt und sauber. Frühstücksbuffet wunderbar mit viel Auswahl und Kochstation. Personal in der ganzen Anlage sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Poolanlage top. Auch am Pool sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Letzter Tag durften wir nach dem Check out weiter als willkommene Gäste die Anlage geniessen und im Spa eine Dusche vor dem Rückflug geniessen. Aufgrund der überfüllten und überteuerten Strände ist das Saint John umsomehr ein Geheimtipp, da die Poolanlage und der private Strandbereich wunderschön sind.

Meine Freundin und ich waren vom 23.09.2020-30.09.2020 im Anax. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Alles war perfekt: Das Hotel an sich ist durchdacht und sauber, wunderschönes Design. Frückstück ist sowohl von den Zutaten sehr hochwertig als auch nett angerichtet, der Staff war stets aufmerksam und ist außergewöhnlich gut geschult, entsprechend konnten wir gut abschalten. Der Spa-Bereich ist wunderbar und professionell. Es gibt einen Strandzugang mit klarem Wasser. Die Infinity-Pools sind exzellent. Die Besitzerin ist genau wie das gesamte Personal: höflich und sehr am Wohl der Gäste interessiert. Ihr gilt ein besonderes Danke! Wir bedanken uns ganz herzlich für den gelungenen Aufenthalt. Das Anax gehört eindeutig zu den besten Hotels, die wir je besucht haben. Es gibt nichts zu kritisieren. Wer das Anax besucht, wird es nicht bereuen.

DAS BESTE: Das Personal!! Ich habe noch NIE so herzliches, freundliches, hilfsbereites, kompetentes, bestens aufgelegtes Personal erlebt wie in diesem Hotel, CHAPEAU! PRO: - Tolle Lage direkt am Meer mit eigenem Strand - Riesenpool (Salzwasser, warm geheizt) - Große Zimmer, jedes mit direktem Blick aufs Meer - Jeden Tag frisches Wasser auf dem Zimmer - Tolle Facilities, makellos sauber, alles in weissem Marmor, sehr schön, modern , geschmackvoll - Frühstück (Buffet plus Menu) TOP auf der Terrasse am Pool - kann allerdings ziemlich windig auf der Terrasse werden - alles superfrisch, Riesenauswahl. - Wurst, Käse (und auch Butter) gibt es nur frisch geschnitten - kann schonmal kleine Wartezeit erzeugen. - Restaurant (abends) kocht auf hohem Niveau - Fine Dining pur, griechische Küche auf ganz hohem Niveau, zu marktüblichen Preisen für ein 5* Hotel. - Sehr schöne Hotelbar mit ”Sunset”-Balkon mit Blick aufs Meer in den Sonennuntergang - FREIER Shuttlebus vom Hotel zum Old Port abends von 19 - 1 Uhr jede Stunde und von da zurück - Super Service, so braucht man kein Auto/Taxi! MEDIUM: - Durch die Lage am Berg sehr verzweigte Anlage, u.U. länglicher Weg zum Frühstück/Pool/Strand NOT SO GOOD / MATTER OF TASTE OR HABITS: - Die Zimmer sind aufgrund landesüblicher Bauweise sehr hellhörig. Schallisolierung der Türen ist quasi nicht vorhanden, man hört jedes Geräusch ohne Dämpfung, gleiches gilt für die Fenster trotz Doppelverglasung. Wer geräuschempfindlich ist braucht auf jeden Fall Ohrstöpsel zum Schlafen - Zimmer lassen sich nicht komplett verdunkeln - das wurde nach Beschwerde dank der Guest Relation Managerin (Danke Vicky !) beim Manager aber umgehend durch Anbringung eines zusätzlichen Rollos behoben - sehr gute prompte Reaktion auf Gästewunsch! - Nur (große) Regendusche und Handbrause mit nicht besonders viel Druck ..

We stayed at the Amazon Mykonos Resort & Spa for 5 nights for the first part of our honeymoon. This was the best hotel we have ever stayed in, we were greeted with champagne and Greek sweets while we checked in and our bags were delivered to our suite. The hotel offers a free transfer too and from the airport or ferry port. We had the honeymoon suite with private pool and jacuzzi, the room was amazing. Huge bedroom and living area and plenty of outdoor space to either sit in the sun or the shade - the sunset from this room is the best on the island hands down. The breakfast is amazing literally every choice you could want with fresh eggs, crepes and waffles cooked to order offering both American, English and Greek options. There is an option to have breakfast in the room but this comes at an added cost of around €50. Chronis the hotel manager was always on hand to answer any questions and would organise taxis for us too and from our destination giving us recommendations where to eat or drink. All the staff in general are so helpful and friendly when delivering room service or in the restaurant, if they saw you walking they would always give you a lift on the hotel golf carts. Things to be noted - The hotel is around 15 minutes drive from Mykonos Town itself so a taxi or vehicle hire is required. The hotel pools are not heated so in May they were cold. Didn’t effect our stay at all because we had a jacuzzi hot tub. If you get the chance to stay at this hotel make sure you do, you won’t regret it. 10/10

My experience at the hotel was truly terrible. Despite being described as a ”relaxing” boutique hotel by the employee during check-in, I was allocated what seemed to be one of the worst rooms available (in my opinion). I had booked a deluxe suite with a pool, which unfortunately happened to be located directly beneath the restaurant. As a result, I had to endure incessant noise throughout the day, including staff conversations, the chatter of guests during breakfast, and the music playing from the restaurant. Adding to the distress, I was constantly subjected to the unsettling sound of chairs being dragged across the floor above my suite. The hotel itself boasts a stunning design, with excellent rooms that demonstrate a strong emphasis on quality. It must be acknowledged that they have done an exceptional job in this regard. However, it's important to note that there is a no shared pool, and the presence of common areas is rather limited. As a result, guests find themselves primarily confined to their rooms or suites for the duration of their stay. However, an incident arose that made me seriously consider checking out early. Below my suite, there were two probably guests causing a disturbance in their pool. Wanting to address the issue, I reached out to the hotel via WhatsApp, but my messages were initially disregarded. Even after following up, I received no response. Frustrated with the lack of attention, I approached the reception to inquire about the situation. To my dismay, the staff reacted with arrogance and even made fun of me complaining. When I asked when I could expect a response, the staff member replied in an arrogant tone, saying, ”in 5 minutes...” I have never had to experience such an attitude from an employee in 10 years in luxury hotels - WOW. When I expressed my desire to check out, I was met with refusal due to the non-refundable nature of my booking. Seeking a resolution, I requested to speak with the manager. Surprisingly, the receptionist handed me her cell phone and remained standing next to me, listening to my conversation with the manager, leaving me without any privacy. Such a lack of respect for personal space was entirely unprecedented in my experience. Unfortunately, the manager's response was limited to offering kind words without any action. Ultimately, no adjustments were made to the bill, and I was not even offered a simple gesture of apology, such as a bottle of wine worth €10 or so sent to my room. The staff seems to lack a clear understanding of what luxury hospitality entails. The issues began even before our arrival. The hotel advertised a complimentary airport/port pickup service. However, since we were staying at another hotel prior to our arrival, I reached out to inquire if we could also be picked up free of charge. This request was confirmed a few days before our scheduled arrival. Unfortunately, just one day before our arrival, we received an email stating that this service would now cost €50.
