A lovely simple, very Italian apartment, with a fabulous view. We were in Belle Epoque, which is a one bed apartment on the first floor. The kitchenette is in the corridor of the apartment, but is sufficient for breakfast, and simple hot meals. The shower room is small, but there scrupulously clean and plenty of hot water. The sitting room has a very hard day bed, not really that comfortable, a small table with chairs and a side board, where you can find extra pillows and light fleece blankets. Our only gripe is that things kept breaking! First the gas hob wouldn't light. The lovely Mrs Anna over the road came to inspect and said the gas cylinder was empty. A new one was delivered next day. We were invited to cook dinner in the apartment above but be aware: the door is low and the ceilings are sloped. I whacked my head very painfully and then cooked bent over as I couldn't reach the hon otherwise! Anway, even with the new cylinder, the hob still didn't light. Christina was on the phone as she wasn't in Aggius and she said to push the black button (I presume to activate the piezo). Yeah. There wasn't a black button. I think we should have been given matches, which we got the next day. Even then only 2 or the 3 rings would stay lit up. But that was enough for us to cook dinner. Also the umbrella on the terrace broke. The canvas had been held up with tape and the tape gave way. It was replaced very quickly with a smaller beach umbrella, which did the job well enough. And finally the wifi is terrible! Christina said the telco told her it was 'blipping', but it was slow and kept dropping out. On the upside, the 4G was solid and strong, but for us Australians it is very expensive to use, hence needing the wifi. All in all, it was a lovely stay. Aggius is a very authentic place to visit with very few tourists in early October. The things breaking just became a narrative line of 'so what's broken today?' and then we'd laugh. Parking: is down the steep lane to the right of La Vignaredda (if you're looking at it). It's the second set of gates on the left, BUT you can't get into it until you get your house keys because it has a locked gate.
