I have stayed at Cassiopeia for five weeks. Compared to many four - and five-star hotels I stayed at in Addis Ababa, I would rank Cassiopeia top on my list when it comes to comfort, most amazingly friendly staff, and the overall environment. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. If there is any issue, just call the front desk. You will be surprised by the speed they take care of things. Above everything else, their politeness is amazing. I have to express my special thanks to the manager, Alaye. He is the most humble and friendly person. The breakfast buffet is also excellent. If you prefer something else, just tell the staff at the kitchen and they will gladly get it for you. The chef is another amazing and pleasant person, and he always offers to make you omelets. And when you say yes, his face brightens with happiness. Note that there is no swimming pool or spa. However, there is a small gym on the sixth floor, with well planned machines, and I used it almost on a daily basis. Thank you all for making my stay comfortable and memorable.

The front desk and cleaners here were so nice. Very pleasant every single day! Plus the room was super clean and well organized for a weeks stay for me 😁

Insgesamt sehr gut, sehr guter Preis! Es gibt einen Transporterservice! Und das Personal ist auf der ganzen Reise Chinesisch! Das Frühstück ist packen! Das Abendessen ist selbst zahlbar! Es ist zu viel zu kostengünstig als das chinesische Restaurant!

Ausgezeichnete Gesamtheit, war ich sehr zufrieden! Von der Eincheckung bis zur Auscheckung war alles großartig. Alle waren sehr hilfreich und angenehm. Die einzige Person, die nicht so freundlich war die Dame im Geschenkgeschäft, aber sie war nicht unhöflich in irgendeiner Weise, nicht so hilfreich oder glücklich wie alle anderen. Der Koch im Frühstücksrestaurant war so wissensfähig und freundlich und das Essen war großartig!

I stayed in Hotel Lobelia for a total of 5 nights during 3 separate times in July. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10min drive from Bole international airport, & a free hotel airport shuttle is provided. This was perfect for me as I had to fly in & out of Addis Ababa a couple of times as I traveled around Ethiopia. Besides being close to the airport, the hotel is also very close to many other establishments, such as restaurants, cafes, shops, mall, etc. There is also an ATM just outside the hotel lobby so this was extra convenient. The 3 different rooms I stayed in during my 3 separate stays were all spacious, satisfactory, & clean. The bed was quite comfortable, & the wifi worked well in the room. There was also a separate seating area. A menu for the restaurant, as well as all the services offered by the hotel are also conveniently provided on the desk in the room. The bathrooms are quite small, however, and can use some upgrades, but overall it was fine, and the hot water shower was great. On one of my stays, I did end up getting upgraded to one of the suites, which was a very big room with a very big bathroom. They serve a buffet breakfast which typically included traditional Ethiopian dishes, and sometimes eggs & pancakes, in addition to toast, fruits, juices, coffee, & tea. Besides breakfast, food is available all day at their restaurant, as well as room service. The food at the restaurant is quite good so I did eat here a couple of times. Laundry service was also good – I dropped it off just before 8:30am & got it back just after lunch. They also have luggage storage, which I used to store my big backpack, while I traveled to other parts of Ethiopia with just a small backpack. The overall service is really good here; plus, all the staff, from the reception to the restaurant to the shuttle service, are really nice, friendly, & accommodating. There was always someone to answer any questions and provide any assistance needed, which I really appreciated. This hotel is definitely good value for a short stay in Addis Ababa with easy access to the airport.

On May 24th, 2024. We planned to do our family wedding venue place in Check In Hotel. It really was a standout out for us of several wedding venues we went so far we found check in hotel to be one of the most incredible venue ever. The foods was very delicious, savory, heavenly and mouthwatering I have to give a big of applause to Chef Mesfin and Chef Teshome, they really did serve amazingly. They were fast and looking to the dishes that ran out but within a blink of an eye they rush to make everything full. Especially to chef Mesfin OMG wow..he was really well orientated about what we want for the food and he delivered them perfectly cooked and in a spectacular way with being careful. The venue hall is so big and lovely as well the bathroom are so clean and chic everything was so great. I would love to thank the waiters as well Tsion and Abebech for servicing our guests in such mannered way and shout out to Abel the F&B controller for being very attentive listener and on point even Alemshet as well though he is a bit stiff but I can understand why he also happens to be an excellent worker. And none of this wouldnt happen if it weren't for the fabulous Rahel Assefa the marketing manager. She made us felt like home and really really did show us moreover she actually gave us an idea of how we can run our plans with decor venue. She really did shine us through her magical works. So I really do recommend to stop going on the city to find a wedding venue and head straight to CHECK IN Hotel right to Rahel and book your venue there. Addis is not the easiest city to navigate so your hotel needs to be an oasis. This is not a luxury hotel but a perfectly serviceable hotel you will come to appreciate. The rooms are decent size and beds comfortable. Television shows a coupld of English channels. The breakfast includes a vareity of fresh fruits and vegetables and hot dishes mostly Indian and Middle Eastern. We found a couple of the staff to be particularly helpful. Note that the hotel lists itself as being on Mickey Leland St. but it is set off from there. The Leland name appears to be newish so cab drivers sometimes have trouble finding it--there's a local app for cabs that is helpful. There are many restaurants surrounding this hotel and several ice cream/gelato spots. We happened to stay in three different rooms--higher is better--but the design of the bathroom plumbing connects the shower through an under-fllor pipe with a cleanout valve. In some rooms there is a smell from that arrangement. There also does not appear to be heating and cooling in the rooms-surprisingly that wasn't a problem. Overall, a reasonably priced good choice.

Ich war vom 22. bis 29. Dezember im Holiday Hotel. Das Personal war phänomenal. Es gab viele Annehmlichkeiten, darunter einen Flughafentransfer, kostenloses Frühstück, Zimmerservice, Wäscheservice und ein wunderbares Restaurant und eine Bar. Das Zimmer war sauber und hatte moderne Annehmlichkeiten. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Ich wurde während meiner kurzen Zeit dort sehr gut behandelt. Wenn jemand ein kleines Unternehmen unterstützen und gleichzeitig alle Vorteile eines Kettenhotels genießen möchte, empfehle ich das Holiday Hotel.

Wir haben das Hotel für einen 7-tägigen Aufenthalt in Addis genutzt, und sind überzeugt davon, dass es genau die richtige Wahl war. Für den Zimmerpreis bekommt man ein sehr angemessenes Zimmer mit sehr guten Service und leckerem Frühstück. Besonders positiv: - Die Mitarbeiter sprechen überwiegend Englisch. - Der Kostenlose Shuttle vom und zum Flughafen ist sehr zuverlässig - auch bei Ankunft oder Abflug mitten in der Nacht. - Die Lage in Flughafennähe ist sehr praktisch. - Die Mitarbeiter sind äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit - ob an der Rezeption, im Restaurant oder der Zimmerservice. Auch bei einer Erkrankung wurde uns freundliche Unterstützung angeboten. - Des Restaurant in der Lobby inkl. Terrasse bietet leckeres, günstiges und vielseitiges Essen an, sodass man bei Bedarf rundum versorgt ist. - Die Zimmer sind sauber, und Dusche, Wasserhahn, Toilette etc. funktionieren zuverlässig. Die meisten Zimmer haben auch (je nach Etage) einen sehr schönen Ausblick auf die Stadt. Natürlich gibt es auch einige Punkte, die Verbesserungspotenzial bieten. Diese sind aus unserer Sicht aber absolut akzeptabel, besonders wenn man das gute Preisleistungsverhältnis berücksichtigt: - Der Zimmerservice ist manchmal etwas unorganisiert: Immer wieder wurden zwar beide Handtücher entfernt, aber nur ein neues hingelegt. Vereinzelt war auch die neue Bettwäsche unangenehm feucht. Es war aber jederzeit möglich, die nötigen Handtücher (oder zusätzliche Klopapierrollen) zu besorgen. Hier sollte der Zimmerservice instruiert werden, nur trockene Bettwäsche zu verwenden, immer zwei Handtücher zu hinterlegen und immer mindestens eine Ersatzrolle Klopapier zur Verfügung zu stellen. - Beim Checkout gab es leider etwas Probleme. Wir sollten plötzlich doch eine Nacht mehr bezahlen, weil wir schon vor der üblichen Check-in-Zeit das Zimmer bezogen hatten. Beim Checkin war uns der Raum aber trotz der frühen Ankunft kostenlos angeboten worden und für dieses zusätzliche, erste Frühstück hatten wir zusätzlich bezahlt. Auch tauchte die zusätzliche Nacht nur bei einem unserer Zimmer auf. Diese Meinungsverschiedenheit konnte dann doch zu aller Zufriedenheit geklärt werden, aber es hinterließ natürlich einen negativen Nachgeschmack. Ich würde dem Hotel empfehlen, eindeutige Preisregelungen für ”Early Checkin” und ”Late Checkout” festzulegen. - Landesüblich sind manche Einrichtungen in einem unperfekten Zustand (zb Schrauben locker, fehlende Bretter, undichte Duschwand, undichtes Abwasserrohr am Waschbecken, defekter Whirlpool). Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Hotel wärmstens empfehlen! Wer die oben genannten Kritikpunkte nicht in Kauf nehmen möchte, wird meiner Vermutung nach deutlich mehr Geld in die Hand nehmen müssen, um in Addis unterzukommen.
