The Great Outdoors: Pet-Friendly Lake House

Cozy but needs some attention We stayed here for a few nights in late September '24 based on the stellar reviews posted here. Unfortunately, we didn't share the same experience. The location was good and the views of the lake are great. For the most part it was clean, but with some exceptions. The carpet in the back bedroom was trashed...needs to be replaced or to be deep cleaned. There were pieces of acorns in the beds, between the sheets and underneath the pillows...an indication of mice and pretty gross to have to sleep in that bed. There were dozens of wasps outside the house near the soffits/fascia near the patio and even a few inside the house.The water has a very potent iron and/or sulfur smell which made it a bit unpleasant to shower or brush your teeth. The stairs leading down to the lake are very old and falling apart, making it dangerous to use. The electronics didn't work properly...the main A/C unit in the living room powered up, but the control panel didn't work so it was stuck on the default settings. The TV in the living room worked, but the remote control did not. It sounds like I'm bashing it, but it's really just a lot of little things that need attention and this place would be great.

Quick trip This was a quick trip for me and my family just wanted to get away. The property was clean and had everything you needed or forgot. I love the area close to the Dells (30 min ride) and all surrounding lakes. We fished from the dock often and my son and husband went on the water in the paddle boat and kayak. Fishing wasnt great if you are looking for bigger fish but fun to catch small ones over and over. Would definitly go back. Thanks for having us!

Cute cottage great views The cottage was close to my in laws battling health conditions. The owner has been a blessing with communication and early late check in for us. The cottage had everything you could ask for games kitchen was stocked. Everything was clean. We had 2 dogs with us it was perfect for them nice yard long driveway so space from the road. We loved watching the ice fishermen while we cooked and played games
